The Disney Plus series Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi is now the number one most-in-demand new series for the second week in a row, as fellow Disney Plus series Ms. Marvel airs alongside it and scores good numbers as well.

Per The Wrap, Parrot Analytics has revealed that Obi-Wan Kenobi has a healthy lead over its competition in terms of engagement, with 'exceptional' engagement 40 times greater than the average streaming series. That's also a bit of an increase compared to the last Parrot Analytics measure a week ago, which said the show had 39.2 times the engagement as most other shows. This move also coincides with Disney making the decision to air episodes of Ms. Marvel on the same day that new episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi air, starting with the fourth installment of the six-part series. Ms. Marvel had a debut in the ninth place spot, and between both shows lies fellow Marvel adventure Moon Knight, which stars Star Wars sequel trilogy alumni Oscar Isaac, in fourth place. Disney Plus is the only streaming service in the chart's Top 10 to have three shows.

The news of the success of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series shouldn't be surprising, given that Disney revealed that the show's first two episodes had the biggest global premiere out of any of its original streaming series, and that Nielsen revealed Obi-Wan Kenobi's opening weekend numbers in the United States rivaled Stranger Things. The move may also, incidentally, be a bit of a wake-up call for Disney Plus, as airing new episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ms. Marvel may have put a bit of a dent in the start of the latter. We will have to see how that series is affected in coming weeks as the Star Wars limited series wraps up.

Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi episodes debut Wednesdays on Disney Plus, with five of its six episodes available to stream right now, and the finale airing next week. There has not been official word about a follow-up to the limited series, though Ewan McGregor has stated that he is interested in further exploring the character, and Lucasfilm is said to be discussing options.
