Nielsen's tracking for Obi-Wan Kenobi indicate that the Star Wars spin-off series earned a fifth place spot in its third week of release, with nearly 700 million minutes of the show being streamed at that frame of time.

Variety has revealed that as of the third week of Obi-Wan Kenobi airing its episodes, Nielsen reported that 682 million minutes were watched from June 6 to June 13. The airing of the fourth episode coincided with the debut of fellow Disney Plus series Ms. Marvel, which arrived with a single episode; both shows were the only Disney Plus shows to make it into the top ten for the week, with one Amazon Prime Video show making it to the list and the other seven shows being offered via Netflix. The Ewan McGregor-led series went from being second-place (just behind Stranger Things) to being fourth place (behind Stranger Things, All American, and The Lincoln Lawyer) and now being fifth place (behind Stranger Things, The Boys, Keep Sweet: Pray and Obey, and The Lincoln Lawyer - the last of which outstreamed Obi-Wan Kenobi by a mere 1 million minutes).

This is not bad news for the Star Wars series, as the competition racked in a considerably amount of viewership. As stated previously, Disney Plus shows usually trail their counterparts on other streaming services due to the release strategies being different. Disney opts to have a single-episode release format, with some exceptions showcasing two episodes, as was the case with the premiere of Obi-Wan Kenobi. And unlike many of the other shows on the same list, Disney Plus shows are often new series without a backlog of episodes for audiences to watch, meaning that between that and its weekly format, there are fewer overall minutes for viewers to watch at first compared to shows that drop entire seasons at once.

Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi is available to stream on Disney Plus.
