Does anyone think Jyn Erso sounds a bit like Jan Ors from Dark Forces.

I couldn't help but already speculate. So Jyn Erso has a similar fighting style to Rey and seems very good with hand to hand combat.

But was interesting to me was her in the end with a imperial disguise on... or is it? I think it is a disguise, but what if that is foreshadowing something. It looks awful similar to this

Is Jyn Erson the new canon's Mara Jade? It's a stretch but, she could possibly be Rey's mother. Also her hair seems to be more red at the end here, but that's just me. I honestly think it's a disguise, and do not think she goes bad in the movie, but I'm not counting it out as a fore shadowing. What you guys think?

 

No. Why would they even hint at a twist if they were going to do one?

 

She looks cool, and even more Han Solo-esque than I thought. She also seems like quite a different character from Rey, which is good. Not that I don't ADORE Rey, I do obviously, but variety between films is a good thing.

I'm having a hard time thinking she could be Rey's mother (like, too obvious), but guys the Mara Jade look is obvious, and she has this role playing in both sides. It's like Mara Jade without the force.

 

I like this character, but I hope she's far more like Lando, than like Rey.

 

She seems like a cross between Han and Snake Plissken to me.

Was about to create a thread for this. As Ahsoka puts it in Rebels: "There's always a bit of truth in legends". Disney are going to need a mom for Rey. It looks like Luke and Jyn could be the same age in ANH

 

I'm not expecting anything about Rey in Rogue One, it's a standalone movie. We'll never see any of them again.

 

Well the trailer does list 'forgery of Imperial documents' on her resume, so maybe this is where she keeps them, lol.

 

Dunno. For some bizzare reason it reminds me of when I worked in construction, and the Engineers would carry around plan drawings in cylinders. I get their probs more high tech in this universe, but I'm gunna take a stab and say she is infiltrating as a DS project enginer or construction worker.
