So, um, maybe it's time to rename the forum section?

 

So, the armour looks cool as heck.

As I’ve stated elsewhere, I’m leaning towards slave-turned-sheriff/de-facto mayor of Freetown Cobb Vanth, from the Aftermath trilogy, being under that helmet, with the first season focusing on him continuing to bring law to Tatooine. It’s a side of Tatooine we haven’t really seen. Plus, we know he has what was more-than-likely Boba’s armour, though, I suppose that could be a pretty awesome double-blind.

What’s more, it’s practically an invite to have the Hutts et al turn up, and, assuming that Boba survived, as I think we all do, an epic conclusion to the end of the first season could, in my opinion, be a figure confronting Vanth and demanding his armour back.

Plus, that list of directors - Filoni, Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Bryce Dallas Howard (Solemates), and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok) - has me drooling. A bit odd that we’re still waiting on a cast list, given that shooting has already begun, so I’d imagine that we’d get that soon.

I think I’m just as excited for this as I am IX right now, just thanks to that image and the list of directors.

 

im really looking forward to this show! I am currently with the VFX house working with Jon Fav on the Lion King, and I keep praying he will drop some tidbits but no joy. however his attention to detail and more importantly the reasons why characters move the way they do and do the things they do I feel lines the Mandalorian up for great things. plus having Dave Falonie (sp) on board as well who basically created a lot of the Mandalorian Lore also excites me. for me I wasn't that fascinated by Boba Fett like others are (which that is fine) and yes I know him and his father aren't actually Mandalorians now, but needless to say im very pumped for this!

 

Really wondering when announcement of cast or at least some of the cast will be done. Any thoughts?
