He was so careful not to give away any details about the mission, even though everyone knows the outcome. Yet, he had no problem blurting out a huge spoiler for one of the characters.

Fortunately, it doesn't bother me at all and I'm still super pumped for this movie. :D

The inclusion of Donnie Yen's "force sensitive" character troubles me a bit. While I'm sure he will be a cool hero, he seems like a way for Disney to push a Jedi into a timeline where no Jedi (allegedly) should exist. It also takes away from recent statements about the studio saying (paraphrase): "the heroes have to win without magic, this is like an old-time war movie where God isn't coming to help us..." A story completely torn from the ways of the Force would have made the rebellion's struggles seem much more real.

Where did they say that he is force sensitive...I thought all they said was that he practices the religion of the force on Jedha or something like that..

I even think I remember something from the celebration panels were it was stated that he is not force-sensitive. On the other hand, he says that he sees with his heart/the force.

Hmmmm - time will tell…

Yeah... my interpretation of the heart line was more along the lines of Chirrut being a very moral and empathetic person as opposed to being force sensitive, but I agree that it's still vague at this point.

Wouldn't worry too much. After Wen's spoiler, he may not even be in the movie for that long. Much to my displeasure, if this is indeed the case. His cane work on the storm troopers in the trailer was on point. I want to see more of that!

One of the things that made me less excited for Rogue One was the probable lack of swordlike dueling action, but then I saw Donnie in the trailer and was like, 'Yes! Bring it on!'. So I hope he has at least a couple of badass fight scenes before he bites it.

Could be a light, but whatever glows there, it is not so bright to have a light near you when you are planning to ambush someone;).

I have the feeling Donnie Yen's character will die by the hands of Vader. I can imagine an encounter between these two guys like this:

CHIRRUT: "You are not worthy to use the force. It's for peace and harmony, not for violence and fear."
VADER: "You don't know the force as I do."

Vader activates his lightsaber and kills Donnie Yen's character. Or something like that... Probably won't happen though.

that would actually be a pretty bad ass way to get the Force into the dialogue and story without having a Jedi hero. tragic, yes, but neat idea!

This has probably been discussed a bunch, but I'll post it here anyway... I noticed he uses at least 2 different staffs. One is wood (on the right), the other(s) have metal ends.

To stop Chirut Imwe is Force sensitive talk, this is from Star Wars Databank:

    Chirrut Îmwe
Deeply spiritual, Chirrut Îmwe believes all living things are connected through the Force. His sightless eyes do not prevent him from being a highly skilled warrior. Though he lacks Force abilities, this warrior monk has rigorously honed his body through intense physical and mental discipline.
