SPECULATION Official Emilia Clarke ( Qi'ra ) Thread

I figure she's a childhood friend since they're in the speeder, I would guess that she is the one that introduces him to Beckett, maybe they need a pilot for their heist and she knows someone from the past. As far as her fate I'd wager that the scene with Chewie putting his arm around Han comes shortly after it..

 

I get more of a "high school crush" vibe from her than a longtime childhood friend. Her and Han in the speeder reminds me a lot of those sitcoms from the 50's and 60's where the guy would get a car and then use it to impress a girl that he likes. Of course in those sitcoms there were never any high speed chases but from the look on Qi'Ra's face when Han pushes that throttle forward to speed up... you can tell this isn't something she's used to. She's looking at Han like, "Wow, I can't believe you're doing this".

 

I really hope that she betrays Han or turns out to be an antagonist that sets him on his cynical ways.

Star Wars needs more decent female villains in their movies...Phasma is just a waste of screen time.

 

Rey Targaryen confirmed!

 

I said Rey's mom as a joke obviously but in all honesty it's technically possibly haha. Han has an affair later on with her leading to Leia breaking up with Han. Or he knocked her up right before he met Leia. Or she kept it a secret and Han didn't know. And all of this would be assuming that Qi'ra is a jedi youngling that ran away lol You gotta admit if at the end of the movie you see Qi'ra with a baby and she says "I"ll name her Rey" that would be the biggest plot twist since Luke I am your father lol.

 

Well, let's be realistic for a minute.

The Solo movie happens before ANH. Rey was born 19 years before TFA, which is 11 years after the Battle of Endor, which is about 4 years after the Battle of Yavin. So to make that possible - Qi'Ra at the end of Solo with a baby - Rey would have to be older than 34.

And according to the canon, they separate after Ben Solo falls to the dark side - which is no more than 6 years before TFA.

 

Yeah, the odds that Rey is Han and Qi'Ra's love child are extremely slim. Then again, I think we as a fandom are going to speculate on just about any interesting female human introduced being Rey's Mom. Early on it was speculated that Laura Dern would be, Felicity Jones had to outright shut down the idea of Jyn being the one, of course people have at least once speculated on Leia being it........ I think the only named human female who hasn't been considered is Mon Mothma...... Wait a minute!!!!!!

It's not impossible that Qi'ra is Rey's mom, but I wouldn't place Han as the Father. It's more likely however, that the identity of Rey's Mother is irrelevant.

Perhaps some wishful thinking? I'd love Arya to be on a galaxy far, far away with a lightsaber instead of Needle lol.

 

I really, really hope she turns out to be evil. We had so many cookie-cutter strong female characters. I am happy with capable, independent, good at heart female characters but I really want to see some strong and powerful female characters who at the same time are evil, manipulative, abusive, irresponsible, etc... They already have some of these characters in the Comics and animated series but I want to see them in cinema.

Well, I hope the dice aren't some kind of Qi'ra keepsake. That would make their TLJ appearance kind of awkward.

 

But he used them to win the Falcon, so I'd imagine he has to have them throughout the film. Or maybe you're right, but he gets them back sooner than towards the end.

 

The most "off" thing about a potential strong connection between Qi'ra and the dice would be that Luke hands Leia something that belonged to Han's ex-girlfriend (or something he got from her). Talk about insensitive!

 

Well, the new trailer give the "anybody con betray you" line, so now I am 99% sure Qi'ra is going to betray Han. We know it's neither Chewie nor Lando, so who else can it be to make the forshadowed betrayal meaningful enough to turn Han from an "idealist" (Erhenreich interview) into the cynical Han we know?
