It also seems like Kylo is stronger than his uncle. Just look how scared Luke is:

 

The Dark Side awakened in Kylo. The Light Side awakened in Rey. They're more powerful than Luke in this moment as he has lost his connection with the Force.

 

So much Kylo Ren goodness in the trailer! The shot of him smashing the helmet is insane!!! It looked EXACTLY like I envisioned it in my head:

It looks like Adam is going to deliver big time. His expression in that powerful moment with Leia is excellent. Looks like Kylo could steal the show.

Rey is wearing her TFA Resistance garb which is featured early on in TLJ. The footage is spliced in the trailer. Kylo Ren may be with Luke, Leia, or Rey (though not using the actual Rey instead of splicing it in from earlier in the movie in the trailer from such a sequence is an odd choice) or gesturing with his hand to use the Force.

 

In that scene kylo has fire behind him
So it could be the force tree burning in ahch-to
Or the hangar burning , if is the later then he's offering a hand to Rey
And the third option is crait and is burning and he reaches to Leia but I don't think so...

Here another parallel: Hesitation.

 

Possible. But it doesn't seem like the same downpour where Luke is laying or the same landscape. But...it is still possible that Rey was laying in the same spot as Luke in the forceback before she got up. I don't know for sure.

 

I thought of these too. I feel that Kylo Ren really is an inverse Anakin, in the sense that instead of it being the story of a Jedi falling to the dark side, I feel that it could be a dark sider becoming a Jedi (again), much like Vader's arc in ROTJ. They both have the same hair style, they both share a scar in the exact same place, they're both pilots, and both struggle with their identity.

Not to mention that Anakin turns to the dark side and procedes to do terrible deeds, before being badly defeated and injured in a lightsaber duel in ROTS. He also loses someone very close to him, because of his own actions and selfishness. The same things happen to Kylo in TFA. Heck, the locations are polar opposites- one's a hot, lava covered world, the other's a cold, icy world, which feels kinda like the "poetry rhyming" that George always referred to.

I feel that for every similarity that Kylo has with Darth Vader, he has another one with Anakin Skywalker. The question is who will he take after most at the end of the story?

Anyone else notice kylos voice sounds different when he says KILL IT, like it's from a different scene (where he's wearing a helmet???)

 

It seems possible, same dark landscape & rainy presence, good find, I originally thought he was talking to Rey.

 

I'm actually thinking the whole thing is spoken with the helmet on. and so I'm guessing he's talking to himself.
But you are right, the delivery of KILL IT is quite different and while it could all be one speech, it could also be a cut up of different dialog's.

pretty sure its not. if you watch the trailer for TLJ then Lukes outfit/hair and the surrounding rocks and lighting match exactly with the shot of him and rey by the pool.
Also the time frame of the costumes don't seem likely for it to be Luke talking with Ren. as far as we know the last time Luke saw Kylo was when Kylo destroyed the jedi temple, and luke was wearing white robes beneath a dark cloak. he looks to be wearing his rugged brown outfit in the show of him in the rain.
and I doubt kylo got his helmet until after the collapse of the jedi order, thats just a guess, but yeah. I think if you look at the shot in the trailer at 1:52 its pretty conclusive thats the same set/outfit where luke says 'This isn't going to go, the way you think.'

Jason Ward: "When I saw this stuff originally, the way I heard that it goes down is that Rey has the saber in a bag and they’re out there training in some way. She gets mad. She uses the force, outstretches her hand, the saber flies through the air, she grabs it and she ignites it but she is also moving pillars around. She knocks him down and she’s also moving pillars like she’s about to like hit Luke with the pillars. And then he’s like, “Oh, this is not gonna be what you think!”.

The sentence "Kill it." has no echo. Everything else has one, so the real sentence could very ma be "Let the past die if you have to. That's the only way to become what you meant to be."

But it doesn't sound like his voice changer.
