I love the way he stomps his little giant feets when he ignites the saber. Precious. My boy did NOTHING WRONG.

 

Look at this, it's Kylo's bedroom:



That's the most horrible bed I've ever seen, it looks more like an incinerator, a hi tech coffin at best. That contraption looks like it would zap you awake. I bet he never slept on it and chose the floor instead. I mean that bed looks about as comfortable as the floor, but at least he couldn't fall off the floor lol Just awful, my neck aches just by looking at it.

looks like it would barely fit a standard person, let alone an ox like Ben.

he's so petulant in those last moments.
between the stomping and the "i'm sure you are!" i just want to grab him by the ear and shake him. : o p

 

But seriously, I'd be just as petulant. He's obsessed with his grandfather because, Vader unlike him, was worthy of being saved by Luke. He's just so filled with rage and guilt and shame.

He's such a mess.

He's facing the man, his own uncle, his Master, who tried to kill him. This man who is ostensibly the most powerful Jedi in the world.

Petulant doesn't even begin to cover it.

 

Ben has a coffin, Rey has a coffin.



Force, what are you trying to say????

 

this is what's frustrating to me, i guess.
i mean i get it: he's really angry at the moment and he's on a destructive bender. and not rational at all
but Luke didn't need to taunt him like that. not when he's in the wrong.
he could have just as well bought time engaging him in a dialogue about the wrongness of it all.

it's just easier and "cooler" to treat the bully with total disdain.
i get that Johnson was trying to meet both sides of the fan expectations for this encounter and that we had already seen Rey try to reach Ben through compassion, but rubbing Ben's nose in it just feels like insult onto injury here. i love Luke for refusing to fight him (count that a major win and a return to form). i don't love that his apology ends up coming off less sincere than it should be.

I'm sure he's still pissed that Kylo skewered his bff.

haha I love that scene! Rey looks up like she's Sleeping Beauty, all doe eyed and waiting to see her prince. Then it cuts to Kylo looking like someone's grandpa, dead serious and ready to start a sermon like WHY ARE YOU STILL IN BED AT 6.30 AM?

Only if Kylo uses the force to transfer 50% of the pain to himself during labour. And knowing our dear, homicidal maniac, he'd defo do it.

 

i'm sure he'd be happy to take 90% or even 100% ~ hahahaha
or better yet, in keeping with the theme of balance and while we're playing in the sandbox:
he can have eight of the sixteen kids. it's the will of the Force!

Soo, the starwars.com databank entries have been being updated. We can expect more new entries to appear for TLJ in the coming days.

One very interesting confirmation in the Snoke entry - As suspected, Snoke has been manipulating Ben since he was a boy and it all started before Ben was sent to train with Luke - I still don't understand why this was not revealed in the movies yet???? A good time for it would have been when Luke was explaining what happened. I mean he had a couple of occasions to mention this!

A master of the Force and a seeker of arcane lore, Snoke seduced young Ben Solo when the Force-sensitive boy desperately needed a teacher. Snoke’s influence would prove critical when Luke Skywalker finally agreed to make Ben one of his new Jedi apprentices. Ben destroyed Luke’s temple, left with several of his students, and slaughtered the rest. Snoke then became his new master.

This also confirms that several of Luke's students left with Kylo/Ben. Are they the Knights of Ren? It seems to me this will be explored in IX.

A new entry into Rey's Biographical Gallery confirms that during their Space Skype sessions Ben/Kylo opened his real emotions of hurt and pain to Rey.




Also, the mysterious connection was definetely there before, as we have seen in the TFA databank Rey and Kylo respective entries (see earlier entries), thus in TLJ Snoke lied taking credit for creating the bond which is not true. He may have enhanced the clarity of the connection, but obviously it was there between them before Snoke was even aware of Rey's existence, and Kylo had sensed the connection on Takodana even before he was aware she is Force sensitive.

The bond continues after Snoke's death since at the end of TLJ Kylo and Rey obviously are able to still connect and see each other.
This will obviously play a pivotal role in IX...
