The Bros Of Ren Enduring Destiny! Or B.O.R.E.D for short! Would be an good a acronym for such a group!

I'm back everyone! Sorry for being away, but personal issues and university took all my time. I won't be on much, but won't try to hibernate again. Winter is over for Bean.

Kylo Ren can die by BEN SOLO discarding the name, and taking up that one.

 

Sure he can also die because Renperor is an evil tyrant.

I just realised that Kylo is so cool even men want him. Meaning Hux.

 

With Snoke dead, and Hux written for laughs in TLJ, doesn't Kylo become the undisputed "Big Bad" from here on out? And if so, doesn't that pretty much eliminate any possibility of Bendemption? (Or Rendemption if you prefer)

 

I'm telling you Hux will be the (inofficial) big bad of EPIX. He will betray and overthrow Kylo by the help of the Knights of Ren. After this betrayal Ren will realize his bad deeds. This would be a great story IMO.

He's plotting something and Ren won't like it.

 

Pablo Hidalgo teased that in the visual dictionnary of TLJ:

Why would that eliminate the possibility of redemption? Because it hasn't been done before?

 

It's based on the premise (which could be argued is false) that we are using a OT template, meaning the turn of Kylo would put him at odds with an equally powerful being that would oppose that turn. There is no such being now. Hux was written for laughs in TLJ (and to me seems less menacing now than when he gave his speech on SKB) and doesn't seem very dangerous (I suspect there's a reason why FS characters always seem to lead large galactic factions).

So basically I don't think it would happen because the franchise has written out the possibility that there is another equally menacing and powerful force that would not readily surrender or order a stand down of First Order Military groups. Luke didn't come to Crait to save him, Leia acknowledged her son was gone, Snoke is gone, Hux is no threat... if Kylo turns then presumably the war is over. They could do it that way, but Rian seemed to shut the door as hard as possible on a number of fan theories, I don't see (right now) how you walk them back.

 

i'm amazed at the way people underestimate Hux.
he's going to throw down in ix; Ren won't know what hit him.

 

Interesting thought, but I wouldn't say that any storyline is definite at this point.

I think he had a bad time in Episode VIII and is going to resent the new Supreme Leader quite heavily. Inner turmoil in the FO, methinks.

Hux is the one who hates the republic and the rebellion. it's Hux that craves the big chair at FO headquarters.

Kylo Ren has absolutely no interest whatsoever in the rebellion, the resistance, the republic or pineapple pizza's.. he just goes after the next thing that has him emotionally messed up.

Hux may have wimped out in the throne room when Kylo awoke.. but he will turn on Kylo and take control of the First Order.
He couldn't do it while Snoke was alive, as Snoke would have sensed all of his thoughts and plans.. nothing stopping him now.

 

he didn't wimp out, he wasn't done thinking it through. if he'd impulsively dispatched Ren, that could have been noticed and raised questions.
he already knows Ren killed Snoke even if he can't prove it, so now he just needs to raise the army against him.

but first he needs Ren to burn himself (and his welcome) out destroying the Rebellion (which actually could have been accomplished if Ren had listened to him).

i feel like people keep painting Hux in broader and broader ridiculous stripes.
he got momentarily punked by Poe and was abused by Snoke and Ren.
that doesn't make him an idiot. it just makes him even more dangerous.

 

agree with that. i'm almost salivating at the thought of a meaner and more dangerous Hux in IX

ok.. 'wimped out' is perhaps an unfair judgement on what happened in the throne room. he may have realized that it wasn't the right time.
