    okay, this one has some pretty funny bits with Hux; particularly the dub of how to spell his name toward the end (7:17). XD

    In the TLJ novel Hux is not made such idiot.

    In fact he is capable technocrate, skilled in engineering, and has actually some strategic thinking.

    He also secretly despises Snoke and Kylo as superstitious fools for their devotion to the ancient religion.

    In at least 2 occasions in the novel Hux believes that Force sensitive dogmatics (Snoke and especially Kylo) are not up to the task of controlling the Galaxy after the large scale war ends, in fact he thinks he will be better for that job.

    At the end of novel Hux is noticing weaknesses of Kylo Ren, and is waiting for his mistake.

    Mostly true & though he is held to n high regard by the younger FO officers the old Imperial officers don't have such a high opinion of him as being called a viscous & vindictive child & some one who favours grand gestures over basic military tactics are not exactly terms of approval. This lack of respect goes both ways as Hux in return dosent have much time for these old guard Imperial officers hence his thoughts that it may be time for another cull in the FO officer ranks. Your points about his view should on Snoke & now more importantly Ren is spot on ther is absolutely no trust between those 2 which for me is going to make the FO leadership dynamics in IX something to look forward too.
