    So I see on IMDB that Felicity Jones is 33 today. Surprising, I thought she was significantly younger. I'm sure 'Jyn Erso' isn't that old. The girl that plays young Jyn in the flashback is 8 so the flashback where the Empire takes her father is probably soon after the Clone Wars. It has to be a couple of years because of the Stormtrooper death armor design. But those with Krennic may very well be clones.

    Gareth Edwards said that there will be another flashback from when she was 8. I think this flashback will be where she meets Saw Gerrera (with his head shaved). She will be raised by him for at least a little while which is where she learned her skills.

    I concur. It would make a lot of sense of the "What will you do if they catch you?" monologue, as well - at that point in time, it's more of a psychological preparation talk rather than a warning about how bad the Empire is when she's known about that for a long while.
