I'm taking that as confirmation that Leia and Luke do share time on screen in The Last Jedi!

I heard a rumor during filming of TFA the big three filmed a flashback from what was supposed to be 10 years ago and used in another film.

Here is a photo of them on set both in costume so I believe this confirms it. This dress is different too but looks like same hair as the other photo. 1492056665-picsay.jpg

Yeap! It's unlikely they'd have been on set on the same day (in costume) if they weren't filming together. It usually takes at least one day to film a scene, often more, so they'd have to have been in the same scene for that photo to exist.

Mark Hamill looks a lot cleaner and well trimmed in that photo, compared to how we see him at the end of TFA.

edit - i find it funny how they are just sitting in front of a Jewson warehouse, dressed in their costumes.

Oscar Issac posted it on instagram the day Carrie passed away. I am surprised they didnt make a stink about it.

I forgot it was Oscar who posted that! That must mean Poe is there, with Leia and Luke.

    My guess is that
after Leia is incapacitated and survives because she uses the Force (as rumored), they need Luke to revive her, and Poe plays a part in making that happen. It would certainly make sense given that Poe is apparently at odds with Leia's successor, Laura Dern, and he's already tied to Leia's search for Luke due to his mission in the comics and the start of TFA.

Kathleen Kennedy: “Obviously we got hit very hard when Carrie passed away in December. We sat down with Colin to think again about where we were heading with the ninth episode. Carrie was a very important part of that story, something I really wanted to do and we were excited to see. Given the circumstances, we will not follow the path we had set out.” (April 14, 2017 – google translation)

Kathleen Kennedy: “Well, you know the wonderful thing is we had finished shooting Episode VIII. Carrie [Fisher] has a significant role in that as the General. She is absolutely fantastic in the movie and it’s wonderful that we’re able to actually finish that film with her in it and have people be able to see that fantastic last performance and moving from there – for obvious reasons – we had to really stop and rethink where we were going with [Episode] IX and essentially start over again.” (April 14, 2017)

Kathleen Kennedy: “We finished with everything in [Episode] VIII and Carrie [Fisher] is absolutely phenomenal in the movie and we’re so happy that we were able to complete shooting in the Summer. Unfortunately, Carrie passed away so by the time we were well underway with Episode IX in our thoughts – we had not written a script yet – but we’ve regrouped, we started over again in January [2017] so…sadly, Carrie will not be in IX.” “We’ll see a lot of her in [Episode] VIII, which is great.” (April 14, 2017)

Rian Johnson: “[Will there be closure for fans?*] I hope…I hope so.” (April 15, 2017) (* This question is asked in the Leia segment.)

Rian Johnson: "It was such a moving tribute yesterday [to Carrie Fisher], I don’t know if I can add to that." "I love her so much, I just adore her. I connected with her first and foremost as a writer. She’s a brilliant writer, with an incredible mind. I’d go to her house and we’d sit on her bed for hours, going through the script [for The Last Jedi]." "And then at the end of six hours, there would be this four word line of dialogue that would be the distillation of all that, that was brilliant." (April 14, 2017)

Kathleen Kennedy: "Carrie is remarkable in the [The Last Jedi]. What Rian [Johnson] wrote and the performance she ends up giving, I think you guys are going to find that an amazing tribute to her talent." (April 14, 2017)

Mark Hamill: "Wait 'til you see [Carrie Fisher as Leia] in The Last Jedi. You're going to love her." (April 14, 2017 - Star Wars Celebration 2017 Hamill Tribute to Carrie Fisher)

Carrie FIsher: "[My favorite Star Wars movie] to act in – Empire, although... I really liked acting in the last one… <takes glasses off and looks out at audience>” (August 21, 2016 - Wizard World Chicago Comic Con)

    I remember some rumor of
Leia being captured and taken to Snoke
not sure if it is true or not, but if true it could be the one thing to get Luke back into the fight, so to speak.

Remember how Vader taunted Luke about Leia? And he got angry. I think something similar will happen in TLJ.

No, that's been debunked a couple of sources, like thewhole "Leak" which originated this rumour (and a couple of others.)

Bob Iger: "She certainly left her mark on the world and on our company. This December we will release her final film, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and as always, she brought her trademark strength, her heart, and her humor to the role. It is a truly, truly legendary performance." (D23 2017)

Congrats to Carrie for posthumously receiving a Emmy nomination for her work in the show Catastrophe. If she won, it would have been an acceptance speech to remember.

Well, according to this source, there will be a really special tribute for Carrie at the end of The Last Jedi:
God, I need this to be true. I think I might actually die. I'm already planning on bringing my Star Wars box of tissues to the theater because I know it's going to be extremely emotional! I really hope we get some closure with Leia, though. I feel like the character is kind of dead in a way because Carrie Fisher was Princess Leia, and without her, how does Leia exist? I just can't imagine the remainder of this trilogy without her. It's going to be really rough. It would be nice if they did a tribute like this for her at the end of the film.
