Official Porgs Episode VIII thread

Naturaly Force sensitive creatures, that's all we know from reliable sources.

 

A complete and utter waste of any screen time in the film. Hopefully just background animals because they couldn't erase all the puffins from the Irish island they are on so had to think up some kind of creature to replace them up close.

 

They're really cute, and for the time being, I don't see a reason to hate on them. (To be honest, I don't have a problem with the Ewoks either—I think they're really cute and funny—but I understand people's issues with them.) Considering how dark The Last Jedi is supposed to be in contrast to The Force Awakens, the Porgs are probably both a merchandising tactic and a bit of a distraction from the overall darkness of the film for younger viewers. However, I don't think they'll play a big part in it like the Ewoks did. Like others have said, they'll probably just be seen around Ahch-To or something.

 

Porgs might destroy First order walkers and kill stormtroopers.

But that's just my thoughts.

 

Perhaps they poop out some kind of super-dense dark matter like Nibbler from Futurama, and end up easily crushing any opposition with a couple well-placed aerial bowel movements? I think I just solved a Star Wars.

 

Yeah, these things are right down there with Jar Jar and Ewoks. Oh well, cant win em all.

 

Plot twist: Only one Porg survives, a.k.a. the Last Jedi.

 

Ever watch an adorable river otter shred a trout. Them cute little Porgs have teeth and considering Rian Johnson's penchant for the unexpected I bet we'll see them in use.

This unnaturaly looking but living ("semi-syntetic" looking) creature with crystal furr could be also explainable if Snoke will be what he should have been in the first place.

I mean one who made experiements with Life , with Life creation. So this could be just one of his successful experiments, which he decided to left alive as his pet.

Chewbacca is keeping a night watch ,outside Millenium Falcon, keeping a night fire, on Ahch-To.

What if Porgs have one little imperfection, like ... eating cables ?

 

They might swarm chewbacca, and yes, probably eat cables on the falcon.

 

Potentially?

These are the same people who probably stop a kid playing a game at a park and explain to him why his game is problematic to someone out there.

These are the people who probably interrupt a joke at a party to explain why it isn't factually correct.

There are the people who probably tell a beautiful woman to not wear a bikini to the beach.

 

The porgs live in those beehive huts, right? I think I see what Rian Johnson is doing here. They're like the Borg -- hive-minded. I fully expect them to swarm at some point, helping our heroes to escape.

And to those that think these little critters can't fly, here's one perched atop Artoo...

 

Three rules for Porgs. 1. No bright light 2. Don't get them wet 3. Never feed them after mid-night

Imagine plus on this Chwbacca finds to have apetite for Porgs and start to think only with his stomach?Nah this will stole main roles from Luke and Rey and Kylo and Snoke...though theater attendance will not be hurt.

One are almost conventional flying birds (with beak) nesting on this Islands, and we have Porgs which are..err warm sea penguin like fishing force sensitive cuties,probably also nesting on this islands.
