    I think Ridley is the focus of the ST, but what if she's not the main lead in VII? Ala Anakin in Episode I?

    Ridley has to be a Solo. It will be a huge upset if she isn't.

    Remember the name "Kara"? Kara Solo? Probably way off, but I'm into it. :)

    If she is the main focus and protagonist of the ST then I guess its a good bet to assume she may have possession of R2-D2 throughout much of the first film at least. If she is hopping from planet to planet in search of Luke then i'd expect to see the droid in tow, perhaps in the back of her ship much like Luke did in the OT.

    Would be similar to TESB when Luke was searching for Yoda with R2-D2's help.

    Just speculation of course, but I agree that C3PO will probably be with Leia for sure as he is suited to her diplomatic work. But R2-D2 has always been on the front line with the main character and (so far) it seems that Leia will have a minor role in the first film. I see him with one of the younger characters - in a fighter ship - and will be reunited with Luke at some stage (that's if he isn't with Luke to start with of course).

    Actually, you're right, No there haven't. Not even Anthony Daniels, save the table read. Course Kenny Baker is not coming back due to health and R2 is being remote controlled by the R2 fanbuilders whose names escape my memory.

    I guess R2-D2 could turn up anywhere. Even on location. Its hard to conceal the actors when they pass through airports and villages on the way to Skellig Michael in Ireland for example. But if R2-D2 could arrive in a box then he might show up in a location such as that where Ridley and Hamill have been seen.

    During the Skellig Michael shoot I speculated that Daisy Ridley might actually be turning to the Dark Side. This speculation was based just on the presence of Ridley's and Hamill's stunt doubles on the island.
    But the more I think about it the more it makes sense. Daisy is so cute and friendly that she would make the best plot twist in Episode VII. And believe me there will be plot twists.
    Of course I might be completely off. Just have this in mind. Be prepared to be surprised from the people you expect the least.
    And when I say turning to the Dark Side, I mean only temporarily.

    I will have to agree with most people, that she is indeed Han and Leia's daughter. I think the main trio will be her, Boyega, and Driver. Boyega will be her love interest and Driver will be her brother but will fall to the dark side.

    I'm sorry but I can't see Adam Driver as being Han and Leia's son. Also, for him to be their son and then fall to the Dark Side would be a terrible rip-off of EU and we were specifically told that Disney/LFL wouldn't just translate books. To use that storyline would be unimaginative at best.
