Visual Clue that Rey is related or has past ties to Snoke?

Hey guys, my 1st post, be gentle...

The very 1st time we see Rey in The Force Awakens are we given visual clues to her heritage and that she in fact related to Snoke? We see her with "blue eyes". Snoke has also been described as having blue eyes. The left side of her face in this first shot is dark while the right side of her face is lit up by the light she is wearing, almost looking like the light that is projecting the hologram of Snoke in the Starkiller base scene. The left side of Snokes face is also dark in each of his scenes. Her pale robes might also represent Snokes pale skin...

It says in the novelization that Snoke is a humanoid alien. Perhaps she makes herself look like this in memory of him as a guardian or something perhaps?

 

That's one connection I've haven't heard before. Small perhaps, but brave - especially considering the dislike for Snoke theorising!

Thanks. Yes it is a small detail but I find it odd that they made her look this way, like even the way her robe/rags are tucked up on her left side of her face - matching Snokes scar on his left cheek, the covering possibly representing his wrinkly old skin? Just an observation.

 

Welcome to the cantina, I guess her rugged appearance suited her, Snoke's scar was for a reason.

 

Is Captain Phasma Rey's Mother?

Both Actresses who portray Rey and Phasma are english actors.

The actress who plays Phasma is Gwendoline Christie. The first thing her name reminded me of was the name Gwenevere (also can be spelled as Guinevere) of King Arthur. Was married to King Arthur and had an affair with Lancelot.

Another curious Fact is that the meaning of the word “Rey” means "king" in Spanish and Occitan, derived from the Latin rex.

We see Captain Phasma in The Force Awakens interrogate Finn and orders for him to be reconditioned as he failed to follow orders on Jakku.

Was it her who had Rey sent to Jakku to be a slave for Unkar Plutt? Seems like it was some tough love which she portrays in the movie acting as the surrogate mother of the Storm Troopers who were programmed from birth. Did Rey refuse her conditioning as a child? Or rejected because she showed to much compassion or to much of the light side of the force? Or possibly because they didn't want her to end up in the hands of Snoke?

Did Rey and a young Ben solo start to form a friendly relationship and this would not be tolerated by the 1st order? It's obvious that Kylo Ren knows Rey and that she is force sensitive. In the novelisation when Rey steals the sabre from Ren he says “It is you”. Snoke also in the novelisation when talking to Kylo Ren asks if he feels compassion for the girl (Rey) which he denies but Snoke senses nevertheless.

Disney has a long history of stories of broken families and orphans. Since there was obvious gender reversal in The Force Awakens perhaps this time they are showcasing the mother vs daughter story arc rather than the father vs son story. Just some thoughts.

Is the 1st shot we see of Rey in the movie a clue?

I hope she makes another appearance in episode 8, eg: driving Unkar crazy.

 

Considering that there are 365 pages of discussion on this topic, this has probably been mentioned before, but I don't have time to go through all that, man. Heh. Likin' the theories I have read, though. Definitely some interesting ones. Anyway....

What if Rey is Anakin's granddaughter... but through someone other than Padme? Now, I highly doubt this, because I just can't really see Anakin having another affair after Padme just because he was so attached to Padme, but what if...? I can't really see her being a Solo, even though it's possible. Wouldn't Han have recognized her name, at the very least? Unless her name was changed when she was abandoned. Kylo seemed to recognize her more than Han did. The possibility of her being Luke's daughter I can also see, but why leave her? I definitely think that Rey is of the Skywalker line, especially considering that her piloting skills are exceptional and that lightsaber flew towards her SO FAST (I mean, it was gonna be force sensitive, but dang). I dunno. I'd be interesting if like... Anakin had another affair later in life, and then they had a kid, and then that kid grew up and had a kid, and then that kid, in their 20s or earlier, ended up being one of those Jedi Apprentices that Luke trained, and then everything went to heck and this 20-year old turned to Kylo's side when Kylo went over to the dark side, but this 20 year old secretly had a little girl that Luke found out about, and then Luke was like, "Nuh-uh", this kid has to be taken outta here, so he either took her or sent her off to a place where she'd never be found and that little girl turned out to be... Rey... who's a direct descendant of Anakin hence the ridiculous Force powers and also why Kylo may actually know her.

It's so far-fetched, but... eh....

*waits for this to be totally debunked*
