I take a guess she gets hurt emotionally, something gets blown up, no romance but a friendship for Rey.

Imagine if Rey was born from the dark side, and is actually sent to find Luke on behalf of the villains rather than the good guys. Would be an awesome plot twist.

I'm a little sceptical about the injury and again a loss of a hand/arm. I did not hear/witness anything like that. I guess more it will be an emotional injury.

I Have a theory about Rey, after watching the force awakens I realised that Rey's vision made something very clear.

Obi-Wan made a commitment to Qui-gon Jinn. To protect Anakin (the chosen one) and train him.
Qui-gon believed Anakin to be the the chosen one, but what if Obi-Wan realised that the prophesy of the chosen one had not been fulfilled.

So he watched over Anakins Bloodline, Luke and mentored him, even died to show him death is not to be feared, that in the force you can live on, concurring death.

So Rey has a vision, and in that vision she hears the voice of Obi-Wan, Assuming the role of mentor yet again?

"Rey these are your first steps"

So ultimately Obi-Wan is Fulfilling his oath to his dying master Qui-Gon Jinn.
To protect the chosen one. The restorer of balance. Anakins bloodline, Rey.

 

Why the chosen one has to be tied to Anakin the fraud ?

 

Why does there have to be a chosen one? Does anyone seriously want more of that messiah crap?

 

(**Spoilers about Bloodline novel**)

After reading Bloodline by Claudia Gray, I'm even more convinced that Rey is a Solo.

Bloodline is set 6 years before TFA as stated on Wikipedia. In the novel Han and Leia are still romantically involved. Personally from the reunion Han and Leia have in TFA, I felt it was a lot longer than 6 years since they had seen each other. Han had been gone pursuing personal interests, however it shows that when back with Leia they were still physical.

The book focuses on Leia and her struggles. It reiterates how much of a strong character Leia is, however it also shows how well she keeps a secret not only from a small number of people but from the ENTIRE Galaxy.

Another example of Leia keeping things to herself is stated on Star Wars Wikia on the Supreme Leader Snoke page......

Leia was aware of the influence Snoke could have on her son, but did not inform Han, believing he would not understand, and that, as a Force-sensitive, it was her responsibility to keep Ben away from the dark side.[1]Eventually, Snoke turned Ben to the dark side, anointing him Kylo, master of the Knights of Ren, and ordered him to destroy Skywalker's revived Jedi Order. Though Ren succeeded in slaughtering the entirety of the fledgling Jedi Order, Skywalker managed to escape into hiding.[2]

As I have previously said in other posts I believe Han was unaware he had fathered another child (Rey). I believe Leia or Leia AND Luke knew and kept it from everyone to protect Rey from Snoke, something they weren't able to do with Ben.

Snoke may have revealed his plans for the destruction on Lukes new Jedi academy and informed Kylo of his role in that. If he and Rey were being trained by Luke maybe he hid Rey on Jakku to keep her safe from the impending attack. Maybe under the watch of Lor San Tekka and that's how Kylo knows him at the start of TFA. Given that in Rey's vision she only looks around 5 years old when left on Jakku, this would mean Kylo would be around 15 if there is 10 years between them. It also makes me wonder about Lukes survival of the attack and if it's because of his sheer power or because Kylo couldn't bring himself at that point in his life to kill his family members. After all even in the TFA he can 'feel the pull to the light'. I know this means that Snoke would have been planning the attack on Luke for sometime, but taking out Luke Skywalker and his band of new Jedi is going to take some organising!

I also believe that when Ben recieves the news that BB8 and Finn have had help from a girl escaping Jakku, he reacts the way he does because deep down he knows it's his sister that has helped them. Now whether he's angry he's been out smarted by her or the fact she's left the planet and no longer in hiding and worried Snoke will discover her and want to replace him with her I'm not sure. But why on earth would he react like that and ask 'what girl?' Why would he care so much?

I know people won't agree at all with the Rey Solo theory and I've had some stick for it I can tell you, but until I hear it for myself I'm convinced she's a Solo. I think it would make Kylo and Rey's scenes together in TFA so much more powerful and intense knowing they were brother and sister. I also find the similarities between her and Han more than a coincidence (when they finish each others sentences on the Falcon and their piloting skills and knowedge of ships) and also her resemblance to Leia from the OT.
Anyway I've waffled enough know. Sorry if you don't like my post but if you do then.....yey I'm glad I'm not the only Rey Solo believer!

 

before TFA was released the Rey Solo theory was a very strong one and many hints went into this direction. After TFA is out the Rey Solo theory cannot be realized in a plausible way. Too much would have to be changed in TFA to make it work. Rey Skywalker or Rey Random can still both work without changing the whole first movie of this new trilogy.

 

It's not any different than Episode V and Episode VI changing Episode IV retrospectively. I've watched TFA with the belief that "Rey" is their long lost/dead child returned and the movie works fine and it retrospectively adds more meaning to what you saw in VII when a future reveal comes. That's how they've been handling the canon in fact - leaving things open and then revealing things in newer additions to the canon that if you go back to previously open things your brain fills in with the new knowledge.

 

Not sure where this is from but its dated the 1st of September, just a little bit on her exerciser routines. Sounds like for optimum performance she preforms in five minuet bursts. Nothing new really but I thought I would just post it anyway;

So long as it's the Once Upon a Time version, there won't be any complaints from me!

I'm still a fan of the Rey being both a Kenobi and a Skywalker, but who knows. Let's just enjoy the suspense!
