@Rey24B I am very interested in reading the rey story, it retells all of the events form her perspective. The other books clear up a lot about han and kylo in the death scene and make it more tragic than just the scene in its self. I definitely feel her abilities went 0-strong almost too quickly but i am not holding it against anyone till we learn more. if it turns out she has no relations and is just super force user you and i can shred Rian on twitter. Till then we just accept she is gifted and figure out where she goes from here :)

Kylo Ren is not only not fully baked as a villain by design - the writers have said this - but he's injured multiple times before fighting Rey. The script also says that he is in a state of shock and weakened immediately after he offs his father. And Snoke wanted to see her.

REY (to KYLO REN): "You're afraid... that you will never be as powerful as Darth Vader!"

SNOKE (to KYLO REN): If what you say about this girl is true, bring her to me.

SNOKE (to HUX): "Leave the base at once and come to me with Kylo Ren. It is time to complete his training."

Maz Kanata earlier told Rey to let the Force in, and ultimately the good hero has to win in the movie, just like Luke did in Episode IV, and Anakin did in Episode I. Kenobi even bested a Sith lord that his master couldn't win against. Rey's whole life of being a survivalist and scrappy desert fighter prepared her this moment.

One unfortunate thing they did was withholding that Rey is as much a next-gen Skywalker as Kylo Ren is, which would also account for explain her potency and potential. They sacrificed an additional explanation in favor of mystery.

I think and I hope Rey will have the old family lightsaber. I don't like different colors then those in the movies and I hope that Maul's saber was a single shot which wil not be seen again.

I'm a HUGE fan of Ahsokas twin white sabres! Something along those lines would be amazing.

I just think that White sabers would be tough to translate on the screen...it's similar to why Luke Skywalker has GREEM LIGHTSABER in ROTJ...they needed a contrasting color that would photograph well enough against the blue skies of Tattooine and as well as The Blue Screen Soundstages ...

There's a lot of scope for something new seeing as she is with Luke at one of the earliest Jedi temples. Could be some rare crystals that make a real cool lightsabre. I, however, want her to keep Anikan's and for Luke to whip out his green lightsabre I think that would be great.

She always suited Anakin's lightsaber but a double bladed one would be good considering her staff wielding experience.

Personally, I do not think Luke initially will train Rey. I think he will refuse. I think that the force ghosts will have to convince him to do so. Will they stay on AHCH -TO probably not. Once Luke is convinced I suspect that Luke will take her to a different planet to do the training. I do not think that this place of contemplation should be the right training world.

Read up on the color and Ahsoka's behavior. She does not show white. She shows Silver. I believe we will learn more in the coming episode with the Ceremonial Jedi appear with many different light sabers.

I like this idea. I think it's already started, with Kylo killing Han, the closest thing to a father she's ever had. If Luke is going to die in this trilogy, and I don't really have any opinion on that one way or another, he'll die in front of Rey at the hands of Kylo or possibly even Snoke. She's going to see a lot of people she loves destroyed right in front of her. It's going to break her.

Hmmm.. I think we will have to agree to disagree on this one haha.
As far as I can tell through researching this, Ahsoka's new blades are white. Multiple Wookiepedia searches have confirmed this and it appears to be canon. It also draws parallels between her leaving the Jedi order and other non-Jedi force users of the EU who use white blades (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Imperial_Knight).
I've done some rudimentary searching on the silver theory that you have and I'm not finding any sources, canon or otherwise.
Again, if you or any other posters have a link to a source I'd LOVE to see it (not only to prove that you are correct, but also because I'm a big nerd about this stuff and like finding out small details :))

I also think Rey will need some convincing too.

I must disagree with your assessment. First, it is important to look at the entire canon to interpret the level of power shown. First the lase bolt block. From watching AOTC and Clone Wars it is obvious that blocking laser blasts is a Level 1 type of power. We see 7 year olds do it in AOTC and in Clone Wars. Second, in regards to Rey and the mind trick, I think people assume it is more difficult because it is a cool power, but that is not the case. Mind trick is also a low level power. In the Clone Wars cartoon, specifically the arc where Ahsoka is taking the younglings back to Coruscant and is attacked by Hando, we see those little kinds use mind trick in one of the epiosodes. Those kids were probably not much older then 10 years old, if that, yet somehow were able to use this power. Third, even if those little kids in Clone Wars did not use mind trick, we see Obi Wan in A New Hope barely lift a finger (literally) to use mind trick on stormtroopers. Rey fails twice before using it. Which leads me to my fourth point, in which I must agree with the poster you quoted, that I do not think Rey used the force to obey her actions, more like she allowed the force to control her actions. There is a big difference between affirmatively using the force and allowing the force to use oneself.

Younglings have been in training since they were toddlers, obiwan has been training for 40 years. Still shows you need some training. I would accept some kind of conduit of the force but that isn't how they present it.
