I was watching the first scenes of ANH tonight where the Imperials board the Tantive IV in search of the Death Star plans and it got me thinking.

When this excellent looking new movie is released, that opening from ANH will be so clear and make so much sense it won't be crazy.

 

It seems to be a pretty common mistake. I have a friend who is a pretty big SW fan and he recently thought the same thing. I think it is because that "Many Bothans died getting us this information" quote is very memorable that when you think of stealing Death Star plans people automatically think Bothans even though they were not referenced in the destruction of the first Death Star

 

Kinda. But it's the same alarm that sounds on the Death Star in ep. VI when the Rebels are attacking.

 

I think forest's armor looks a bit more falloutish than star wars hahahahaha,that's nice!

 

I said it before and having read more and more Felicity Jones negativity I'll say it again...look how great Rey and Finn turned out. People are entitled to their opinions but to keep judging an acting performance on two lines of dialogue in about two minutes...guess people don't learn from their past mistakes. It's all good though.

No it's not that they had to be involved in the first death star it's just they are interesting star wars creatures and it would be great to see them in a Star Wars film since we are back in the era. I bet plenty of fans would love to see a Chiss or a noghri. It would be funny to see a scene with stormtroopers dragging an away alien like Yoda and him protesting that he isn't a jedi.

 

for this movie to be 100% successful, someone needs to mention or go past the exhaust port.

 

Well, I know people that is supposedly big in SW and keep saying: "Luke, I am your father." Lol.

Whoops - and here I was, wondering how a Bothan sacrifice would play into the R1 plot! Now I'm thinking there may have been no sacrifice at all and they purposely leaked the plans for the Emperor. After all the EU (with a broad, stereotyping brush) paints most of the species as devious, manipulative, proud and politically ambitious...

I'd like to see these ideas expanded on too but expect the film to only show snapshots that hint at life under imperialism and the difficulties civilians face under military occupation.

It must be hard for people to recognize and fight against Imperialism while they benefit directly/indirectly from it's oppression over others - especially when the oppression remains outside of their field of vision. Those people and institutions that benefit from the Empire likely see it as essential to their survival and would perceive any threat against it's ruling apparatus as a threat against their own livelihood. I don't see too much help for the Rebellion outside of the disenfranchised and those already directly threatened or suffering from the Empire (with the courage to resist). There's a difference between being free and being a happy slave...

Put your money where your big foul mouth is little boy and use facts. Look up my posts and see if I have done as you say. Check to see if all my posts are about me ranting about negative aspects of SW and THEN you may talk but most important, ask your mom for permission so that she can let you go out to the street so that you may develope some communication skills so that you may learn to talk to others. Badmouthing and calling names just to try to win an argument just shows me what a lonley insecure little kid you are. If you like I have many SW toys that we can play with and I can help you with your social skills.

The negativity is there because she's been in not many of movies and still isn't proven in a movie of this type .
