    I was hasty about Ron Howard.. didn't realize he'd made A Beautiful Mind and The Grinch.. two really well executed movies. I think he's the right person to veer things back on track :) It's also good news that he was so involved in Hollywood/TV in the 70s and had a working relationship with Lucas. They're going for an American Graffiti vibe with this film by the looks of things.. so he seems perfect.

    Just to give everyone a perspective, there was alittle movie called Back to the Future that came out in 1985 and shot 5 weeks of footage with Eric Stoltz as Marty before they had a major shakeup and changed to Michael J Fox. If you watch the BTTF Bluray they have alot of scenes that with him in it, as it's very interesting yet eerie to watch.

    Now is the Han Solo movie going to be as successful as Back to the Future? Of course not, but if the internet existed in 1985, then this movie would have been DOA by the fans after reading that major shakeup.

    Lord and Miller are talented filmmakers with a particular voice, that being said, you know what your signing up for when you direct a Star Wars film. It's too bad they couldn't find a compromise.

    There are many kinds of people in the film industry, Howard is a guy with a pristine reputation. I'm excited he's involved. He's no spring chicken, we're talking about an Academy Award winner here. Parenthood is a grossly underrated film IMO.

    I don't have anything against Alden Ehrenreich (except his name is impossible for me to remember) but I had a bad feeling ever since he was cast and the Lord and Miller were hired. Han Solo was in his early thirties in the OT so a guy who looks, sounds and acts nothing like Han Solo placed only several years before ANH is very jarring to say the least. It sounded like they're going for a Peter Quill Starlord feel to the SOLO film except ..This isn't Guardians of the Galaxy... D*mn it.
