    yes, he's wearing his uniform, but i've never seen one dressed down that way (with the frogging closures laid back like that).
    i wonder if that's what's fashionable these days? interesting.

    her dress is lovely! very simple, very elegant (as is her hairstyle).
    they really went out of their way not to make this a fussy gaudy event.

    Harry really does look very solemn here.
    nice to see him appreciating the magnitude of the undertaking. : D

    This was very touching, having Prince Charles step in to walk her down the aisle. Her father had heart surgery so he could not attend the wedding.

    I think it was his uniform from the blues & royals. He could have worn something else with more bells n whistles on it, but I think what he wore was special to him.. possibly from the regiment he served with in Afghanistan, but I’m not 100%.

    How beautiful did Meghan look? wow! stunning.

    Well, I can talk about more than the dress, you know! ;)... but it was very elegant. It was in my opinion designed to be understated so that attention would be drawn to her face. :) I loved her tiara. Apparently it belonged to Queen Mary once upon a time. And having worn a veil once myself, I was wondering how well anchored that thing had to be into her hair to support the weight of that huge long (but beautiful) thing! :eek: Which kept getting stuck everywhere. :p

    Those twins that carried the veil in were SO ADORABLE with their grins and missing teeth. <3

    What was most beautiful to me though was how "human" Harry looked--like many another groom from any walk of life--from being rather nervous to start, to tearing up, to just adoring her with his eyes. Awwww. I have to confess that I've had a soft spot for Harry (though I don't really follow any of the royals) ever since I saw that little boy following the procession at his mother's funeral. It's so nice to see him happy.

    I like the dress, it's simple and elegant, though personally I'd prefer something more daring. But, you know, Royals... you have to stay in the lane.

    Apparently it’s his Frockcoat uniform of the Blues & Royals with whom he served with in Afghanistan plus as he is no longer a serving officer he was allowed to keep his beard as normally you have to be clean shaven when in full dress uniform.

    I heard a commentator say that he had to get permission from the queen to keep his beard while wearing the full dress uniform! :D

    Yes he did & as he is no longer a serving officer the no beard rule in dress uniform was relaxed. Of course it helps that his grandmother is also the commanding officer of the regiment.
