That motion capture stuff is probably more closed set because of the nature I would imagine.

 

Of course, Andy Serkis will reprise his role in EP8. He even talked about it with Collider.

 

I believe in April he said he hadn't seen a script yet but that he was scheduled to film in June.

I remember that struck me as strange because I thought episode Viii would have had a table read with all the principle actors like TFA.

 

Just because he hasn't been announced doesn't mean he is not in it...people like Maz & Phasma weren't announced until well into filming and they had just as big a role as Snoke did for being in TFA..

 

He has indeed as @Ninjabeans and @LarsSkywalker indicated confirmed during the Empire Awards (in March) that he will be reprising his role as Snoke in Episode VIII but that he had not yet read the script.

Agreed his voice give me chills everytime I hear it they wouldn't bring another one replace him, he probably knew he was already in episode 8 as soon as TFA was announced.

Just wondering if Snoke will appears walking or siting in a chair like TFA. Holocrom or in a real presence?

And how the cgi (if the character will be 100 % digital or not) will work if he interacts with Kylo or Hux for example.

 

I hope we see him in person and not just a hologram

 

I think that Snoke will sit in a high throne sort of like Kuzco in "The Emperor's New Groove" and the dynamic will be similar to TFA but I somehow don't think we will ever see Snoke actually fight just like with Palpatine and Vader

Hope you are right. Palpatine lightning powers in ROTJ was epic, but with the saber in hands in ROTS was lame.

 

Well we had to see his show of power to the jedi in order to kill/scare them off but by the time of TFA Snoke is already pretty much so feared he doesn't need to do anything but discipline the kid he trained
.

 

On May 2nd he said:

Probably closed set stuff at Pinewood with the mocap gear. I'm thinking we get to see Snoke's actual dwelling and him in person since he told Hux to come to him. Probably still only has a few scenes in this one too but it will be cool to see him as more than a holo.

 

Who do you guys think Snoke is?

I personally think that Snoke is Plagueis....I do know that Star Wars kind've hinted that Snoke is not Plagueis but they do say things to confuse everyone.
I am staying with my gut feeling.
