I really REALLY love his new golden robes! So much more visually exciting than his TFA get-up.

 

Rey's staff? I mean Jakku was full of Sith artifacts, down ships etc...would make sense that Rey would find a dysfunctional light saber and use as a staff and not even know it's original function. It looks like a double sided light saber either way.

 

Can definitely say the staff's ends do resemble the ends of Darth Maul's saber. Also with Vader's saber showing up in the Aftermath series, I would say it is a good chance to be his. Anakin's saber vs. Vader's saber.

 

*Face palms* Not the staff again. Its a rust metal rod. Its too long for the pike handle. It has a vaguely similar bit of ridges at the ends. Its a huge stretch.

 

I agree with @Pastor Barndog The staff is just a staff. We seemed to debate this endlessly before TFA. She's got the blue lightsaber for this movie. It seems silly for all of a sudden for there to be a realization that the staff she used for years was some crazy looking lightsaber. If she eventually ends up with a new lightsaber it will be one she designs on her own.

I just a want scene where Snoke is so obsessed with his wealth and jewelry on his fingers that he has a fit when Rey steals it from him.

 

I believe he actually had the gold robe on in TFA, however the hologram appears to give him a blueish hue. Check it out, has a kind of glimmer to it.

 

I doubt she would find a lightsaber there considering that there are no more jedi/sith, especially with the battle of jakku but if there are sith lightsabers, I don't know if she would use a red corrupted crystal although it looks cool on the poster

Have ya'll considered that snoke is tall (wasn't he described as 9 ft or so?) so the staff would make an acceptable length for a Pike saver for him. Not saying that's what I think, but when you say it's too long, it IS to long for a human but I thought Snoke is supposed to be pretty big.

 

Yes indeed. That staff would make a nice double bladed Saber for a very large creature.

 

According to MSW Luke Skywalker has a walking stick with the head of a snake. Snoke's lightsaber hidden in plain sight?

Well that sucks. Why if he is alien, 7 feet tall and reportedly reptilian does he look like a blue eyed human with a few scars?

 

When was he described as "reptilian?"

 

I remember it mentioned around the time of Vanity Fair, but I don't remember the exact source. It was also mentioned a lot prior to TFA.

Either way. He is looking more and more less interesting. At least to me.

 

To be honest, I thought that outside of the (presumably misleading) projection size, Snoke's design was pretty generic CGI bad guy. I kind of prefer this new weird direction

 

It could be because his look was finalized only two months before TFA's release.
