Definitely seems like an interesting character!

Definitely curious what a fully grown Omega live action would be like- not in a creepy way, just as in... well, she's a Jango Fett clone still, I assume? So would she still look sorta like Temura?

So can you folks set my brain straight... tell me that my first instinct to place Omega as the young ‘Enfys Nest’ is utterly erroneous?

My mind feels set on it, and that doesn’t strike me as rational. ...Halp!

(Edit— wookiepedia has set me straight, with some of Enfys Nest’s history... I can move on now.)

My first thought was that Omega is a cloned force-sensitive... That's probably completely wrong though.

Omega is rocking the episode 1 Phantom Menace Sheev haircut though ;)

    To immediately debunk that theory:
I guess Palpatine would never let a clone of himself walk around as a medical assistant in a Kamino cloning facility.
Perhaps they had a good laugh about it at Lucasfilm Animation.

Spoiler alert. I don’t know how to do that spoiler things and this is the best I can do lol

I don’t think she is force sensitive to be honest. Actually, i might have to see more of her to conclude anything. I think the reason she was good with that blaster near the end of the episode was because she is a clone herself. Its in the genes ya know.

Added spoiler tags for you :)

“I’ve only had Omega in my life for a day and a half. But if anything happened to her, I would kill everyone in this star system and then myself.”

Seriously though, I really like Omega. I loved seeing her fangirl over the Bad Batch and being able to relate to them. Her relationship with Hunter and the other Batchers is already really heart warming and I can’t wait to see where it goes next.

Yeah, same. When the trailer hit in which she was introduced I wasn't sure if it was a good idea, but I already liked her after the first 70 minutes of the series. She will be useful to keep the dynamics of the group interesting.

Omega is awesome! A very cool and compelling character. I believe that her "thing" is not that she's Force Sensitive (as some have suggested), but rather that she has some hightened learning ability: she watched the guys use blasters so she "got it" and could use blasters, too. They also made a big point of her studying Tech flying the Havoc Marauder, studying his every move (i.e. closing up on Tech pushing buttons and whatnot) so now she probably know how to fly a starship. Things like that; she is the SW equivalent to super heroes/super villains whose power is to absorbe the powers of others, if you wish. This would also explain why she would be useful as a medical researcher.

Furthermore, I fear we're going to learn that there's something wrong with her. This is just a hunch I've got, but I bet we'll see character development explaining that she's sick or something, or probably have a rapid aging process to go with her super-learning powers. Something like that. I foresee a tragic element to the Omega character.

Also, just to toot my own horn; this post from last month aged rather well, me'thinks. Let's concentrate on not being apeholes from here on in :D

I don't think she is a force sensitive clone, and I really hope she isn't. They've tried that multiple times across legends and canon, and it always bores me. They even did it in the lego movies.

The natural assumption is that she's a clone of someone but I don't want to speculate too much and just let her story play out. I didn't think I was going to like her and figured she would be annoying and the worst part of the show but nah I actually like her so far and really liked her interactions with the Bad Batch and especially Hunter!

I love Gerrara. He’s one of the people I think of when I think about hope, rebellion, or passion. Truly a legendary figure in the rebellion. In all of SW for that matter. In fact i hope we get more of him lol ;)

Okay, this is quite a cool theory. I am curious where it would end though. Could she also learn how to use the force? Or use a lightsaber? And what would it cost to have such a skill? I guess you already thought of a solution to this:

Her not knowing the concept of parents I thought was quite tragic too. She will serve some purpose in making the BB evolve from a pre-omega Clone Wars time. Perhaps she will be the reason they join the Rebellion in the end? It would open the door for a Bad Batch Andor appearence. Nevertheless, I personally hope they won't join the Rebels. I always thought that the clones deserve a peaceful life at some point, being bred for war.
The deserter episode of Clone Wars showed Cut Lawquane as a clone that was happy living a peaceful farmer life, and we have seen Rex, Wolffe and Gregor doing something similar.

I really like Saw, but it is starting to feel a little strange how often he shows up in this era whenever a rebellion is mentioned. It's the Galaxy Far Far Away, not the Neighborhood Block Far Far Away... having a character always show up in a specific context like this really makes the scope feel smaller, not bigger.

But eh, I'm probably overstating it. To paraphrase AotC Obi Wan... I was happy to see him.

Anyway, new episode tomorrow, and hopefully we'll learn more about Omega then. I love weeks with two episodes, especially when one is 70 minutes long!

Maybe it's just a coincidence, but Omega clearly has a Kiwi accent (which stands to reason as Michelle Ang is a New Zealander), which tracks with her being a Jango clone.

Thats a good point. The same characters in all these different places does make the galaxy feel smaller. But, repeated characters are actually often significant people. Like Saw. He is a leader of the rebellion. A well known activist. But, i see your point. For example, seeing rex on Seelos on Rebels was very coincidental if that make sense.
