I'm not sure if this has been brought up before (give old news rating if it has), but you if you want to stream IX you'll need Disney+. Not unsurprising (probably no sh!t Sherlock) i'm sure they'll do a blu-ray box though.

"Launching in late 2019, Disney+ will be the ultimate streaming destination for movies and shows from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic. From The Walt Disney Company’s Direct-to-Consumer and International segment, Disney+ will offer ad-free programming with a variety of original feature-length films, documentaries, live action and animated series and short-form content, along with unprecedented access to Disney’s incredible library of film and television entertainment. The service will also be the exclusive streaming home for films released by The Walt Disney Studios in 2019 and beyond, including “Captain Marvel,” “Avengers: Endgame,” “Toy Story 4,” “The Lion King,” “Aladdin,” and “Star Wars Episode IX.”

An odd source, but here you go: https://www.marvel.com/amp/articles...lus?linkId=65937253&__twitter_impression=true

Will likely get all the other SW's media to Disney+ as well.

It makes sense that all things SW, Marvel, and Disney will be streamed from Disney+. All new content will go there. Content on other streaming services will move there once the contract is up. Clone Wars has come off Netflix as of April 7. Disney/ Lucasfilm likely let this happen so they can put all the Clone Wars episodes on Disney+ when the new season is released

Has anyone heard anything on the subscription costs? So long as it is comparable to Netflix (which it almost has to be) I'm good with it.

I don't think any subscription service is over 20USD. So, yeah it'll compete with Netflix and others.

I remember when Disney+ was first announced, Iger said it would start off less then the other streaming services because it would initially have less content

I'm super psyched for Disney +. Having all the Star Wars movies on it, as Kennedy said today it would at some point, the Star Wars tv stuff, all 30 years of the Simpsons and all the Marvel stuff has me sold. Plus its add-free and only 6.99. This service seems to good to be true. The only additional thing I want is some type of separation on the interface from subscription material and purchasable material. But that's only a minor annoyance carried over from Prime. Also really happy its going to be on PS4 from launch, as I mostly use that for streaming.

Dang, I sound like a Disney shill, haha.

I wish Disney+ copies the DC Universe streaming service, at least for the Marvel section. DC's service includes curated digital comic books. I caught up on some DC comics that I missed due to financial situations of time of release. I wish they would include curated Marvel comics on their streaming service. I can't collect everything, so I get to read books that I passed on.

$6.99 or $69.99 per year? Take my money now! Lack of content or not, I'd pay that just for The Mandalorian.
