SPECULATION "Once more the sith will rule the galaxy..."

Well the sith were around back then it did take them 300 years to return.

 

It should there is no reason that KOTOR , TOR and Dawn of the Jedi history gets in the way of the movies canon.

 

You can't really say it makes anything previously published canon until Disney reverts it to be so. A brief reference to the Sith ruling the galaxy lacks the details to pinpoint it to any particular narrative or released material.

I doubt Disney would want to limit themselves to a particular narrative they'd have to follow, which is why the EU was dissolved. There's also a slight chance that all those pre-PT publications could get in the way of the story they want to tell, if not in TFA then at some point later.

 

KOTOR is one of the very best RPG's to ever have existed. i would really hope they would stand by that. it happened 4k years before a new hope so what difference could it really make? i guess they could probably come up with something. at any rate i think ill move this to the video games forum.

 

The Sith at some point did rule the galaxy before Sidious came along. They built a Sith shrine on coruscant sometime before the republic was created.

 

With the EU now Legends, I am writing a backstory for my RPG that deals with the origins. Long story short, the parent order, the Whills, which is very much like the Tibetan Monks and the Dali Lama, is consumed by the conflict between two brother's. Seth, a passionate and curious man, who was adopted by the Dalii (leader of the Whills) and his brother, Jedidiah, a man of remarkable courage and morality. The Cult of Seth eventually becomes the Sith and the disciples of Jedidiah the Jedi.

We will roleplay out these events and the Sith ruling the galaxy.
