I saw it live last night and this was the first interview I've seen of him. He will be the Han Solo personality of this trilogy (something the PT sorely missed). He's a good looking guy who's funny but can be charming too if they make him a hot shot pilot. Simply he has 'it' which I felt Hayden Christensen never had.

I'm anxious to see Boyega & Ridley's personality in interviews as I don't know much about them either.

That was a clip from 'King Of The Rocketmen' right? Brilliant serial. Saw it years ago on the good old BBC.

If you notice when Letterman said they were showing a clip from TFA, he honestly didn't know where they were going with it? He first says, "The Trailer?" when Letterman said it wasn't the trailer, just a new clip of the movie, you could see Isaac was nervous that maybe his reps gave something away from the movie and he figured he would be getting a call from JJ and Disney!

I don't want to turn this into an OSCAR ISAAC appreciation thread.... but we should have one.

The man is among the very best working actors in the world today. He's a chameleon who truly inhabits the roles he plays.
Oscar commands the screen whenever I see him. And he gets better with every movie.
The roles he's picking demonstrate a desire to grow and stretch. And he kills it every time.
Which gets him his pick of the best scripts around.

Oscar's face is fascinating. He can pass for almost anything. He's handsome in an unconventional way.
Plus, Oscar seems down to earth and pretty normal off screen. Did I mention the man can act?

Oscar Isaac is most amazing in:
    A Most Violent Year
    Inside Llewyn Davis

And so far, he's getting tremendously positive reviews for his performance in Ex-Machina alongside Domhnall Gleeson (sadly, us Americans must wait until April to catch this on the big screen.)

If he isn't the Harrison Ford of the ST, it would be a miss all around. In my opinion, Oscar Isaac can act circles around the entire OT cast -- in their primes -- yep, I said it. Go watch one of the above for proof.

I hope KK and Disney locked him up for all three ST films on the cheap... because this man's star is rising faster than Uncle Georgie's is fading. (Uncalled for, sorry, will repent later.)

P.S. I love you Oscar, and I will never give up your Cantina name. Message me for my terms though.

I saw the trailer for his upcoming movie that he was promoting, and was very impressed. I can't stress enough how much I HOPE he is the Han Solo character of this trilogy. Now i don't want Han Solo 2.0, I just want a non-Jedi character that we can all relate to that plays a major role in the movie. That is what the PT was sorely lacking, as Lucas was never able to shoehorn any 'relatable' average guy character that would be a nice to foil to the largely jedi cast.

You mean Captain Panaka couldn't hold the line?

Panaka should have been the GFFA's Nick Fury could have even been played by Jackson. "I have had it with these poodoo sucking buzz droids on my poodoo sucking ship."
