SPECULATION Palpatine in IX??

Rey on Coruscant, OMG I want to see this film! Intriguing theory, i hope this comes to fruition.

 

A Papa Palpatine cameo would be okay if it is done right. Like finding an old transmission sent from him to Vader revealing some sort of twist. Like Spook was Anakin's father!

 

JJ is supposedly incorporating allot of the prequel trilogy into EPIX, hopefully he takes a similar route.

 

As long I get to hear him say......

It would make some sense to bring back Palpatine since he was the main villain of the first two trilogies. I just don’t know how they could do it without it feeling shoehorned.

I think Kylo Ren already knows he was being manipulated as was pointed out by Han in TFA. That’s why he killed Snoke.

 

I have this idea in my mind for Kylo's redemption and this fits perfectly as like, punch one of a one-two knockout. The scene where Anakin kills Mace and pledges himself to Palpatine would be a huge thematic connect because of the dialogue. It would be outstanding. Going with what's in my mind, I'd rather Rey not be in the scene. Kylo is after her, she finds the recording but doesn't stick around. Maybe a shot of her watching from a distance or something; but when Kylo enters, she's nowhere to be seen. It's just the recording playing on a loop. Kylo is the one who walks out of the temple and down the stairs.

Then punch two comes on Mustafar in Vader's pad. Kylo is hit by punch one but he's not all the way out of the dark yet. "It's too late. Nothing can change what happened. It makes no difference. Nothing is different." He gets more agitated and a duel breaks out. Maybe somewhat reminiscent of Anakin vs Kenobi. Some volcanic activity brewing. Things falling apart. Then Kylo gets the upper hand and as he's about to kill Rey, she says something that hits him with the knockout punch. Kylo chucks his red saber as the place is collapsing. They flee together because Rey needs his help to face off against the real threat. Vader's pad is collapsing into the lava. Oh you know what, how about a shot of Anakin's force ghost looking down at his old place, he's on the high ground above as Ben and Rey escape in the Falcon. Anakin is holding out his hand using the force, he's the one collapsing the place.

So now Rey and Ben have to stop the main threat and screw it, it's Darth Plagueis. Yeah Snoke is Plagueis and he's back. How's he back? because he mentions Sidious in the final confrontation and already had the ability to cheat death. Two appretinces tried to betray him and both failed. Okay, turns out Plagueis can cheat death because he knows a dark side power that allows him to transfer his being into another body. Oh you know what? It's a clone body. He can't do it with a regular person, so has a bunch of clone bodies in stasis. Because it's a dark side power, it warps and disfigures the clone body when he enters that's why he's all messed up looking.

Oh so, a third of the finale of act 3 is maybe Poe and his group attacking the Kamino clone facility. That's where Plagueis keeps his clones. They have to blow up his clones so he can't jump into another body and cheat death again. Oh because Plagueis wants to become a force ghost with the power beyond imagination. But dark siders can't do that. But that's why he's wanting to kill the Jedi so there will be imbalance in the force like Lor Tekka said. He thinks if he can unbalance the force, he can become one with the force and then he's unstoppable and transfer like a plague(!) throughout the entire galaxy.

So okay, Ben and Rey have to take him down. Rey wields Luke's green saber, and Ben weilds the blue saber which he's using to stop the fall of the Jedi, and restart the Jedi order, involution of Anakin in the prequels. So while they fight Plagueis, Poe leads the attack on the well-defended Kamino facility, while Finn leads the ground assault on Hux who are on the attack againt the remnant of the Resistance which is on Yavin 4. Prequel-original win-win. As things look bad for the Resistance, Finn wins the day by convincing the stormtroopers to turn on the FO like he did. By somehow relaying to them that Plagueis intends to basically destroy the galaxy. Oh because DJ is back and he has joined the Resistance. He hacks the troopers equipment allowing Finn to broadcast the message. Even Hux surrenders peacefully when he learns of Plagueis' scheme.

So, yeah. I think Palpatine showing up in EIX is totally feasible. See what happens when I'm asked a simple question? It's ridiculous isn't it?

 

Maybe they will find an old selfie of Vader and Palpatine together and that's how he shows up.

Imo, I don't believe he will show up.But I do think he will be mentioned.

Ugh no please... I don't want to see Palpatine's ugly face ever again. If someone come's back, let it be Vader.

 

If they see Anaking being named Darth Vader, I kind of doubt that would help to change Ben's mind about him because, to him, it will simply show a Sith tradition. If anything, they could stumble upon one of Palpatine's robots from the new Star Wars Battlefront game from last year. Maybe if they see the recording, Rey could use it against Ben and tell him something like, "see, even VADER was someone's master" since Ben is trying to be the biggest, baddest, person in the entire galaxy/universe.

 

I would not be surprised if we had a hologram recording of him. I don't think he is the element that will tie all the trilogies together because the Skywalkers are what tie it all together, this is their story, not Palpatines.

 

I've long been a Rey Palpatine advocate. It would have been interesting to see her and Kylo struggle for power, to see if the legacy of Vader or Palpatine would win out for control of the darkside, and if Rey could avoid seduction, unlike Kylo.

Instead her struggle is vague because she has no backstory. Rey is just a superpowered, totally good, no one. All archetype, nothing specific that contributes to the story. Well, except, I'm vaguely everyone!
