    Hey all,

    Let's see if we can't tap into all the creative talent here at the Cantina and wizard up some cool Patron created banner art :) Comissions can be posted here for review.

    Guidelines:
    *This is a non-profit endeavour to help refresh the Cantina without having to add tons of extra adds to pay for it all.
    *The art must be Star Wars relevant and appropriate (adhering to all the rules etc.), representing the width and scope of the franchise. General over specific.
    *Be nice and adult and inclusive
    *No real life references and such (with the exception of Star Wars relevant stuff, like George Lucas on the Cantina wall poster). No political satire etc.
    *The mods (probably @Viral Hide) will decide what, if any, contributions to use to represent the Cantina, and how & when. No promises.
    *Any art submitted mustn't be used in any other official capacity, as that pretty much negates the point of using it here.

    I'm sure there's tons of other things one should say/include here as well, but this is a start :)

    I'm not an artist or a Photoshop expert, but I quickly made this concept to show what I want to have in a new banner:

    Mainly recent stuff should be featured!

    For example Mando and co are in it because of "The Mandalorian". Obi-Wan is in it because of the Kenobi series, same goes for Cassian and his series. Han (Alden Ehrenreich) and Chewie are there to push a possible Solo 2. Rey and Kylo represent the ST and Vader is in the centre of everything. He is the most iconic character in Star Wars after all.

    As a design idea I would pick this picture:

    LOL at my zero skills.... @NinjaRen whips something together in like 5 minutes that would be 1000 times better than what I could do in 6 months.

    Cool stuff.

    Personally I prefer the drawn style, as well as original art over photoshop-collages, but that's a matter of taste, only :)

    I found this picture of Rey (I actually think that costume would be perfect for the bar counter setting) and IMO this art style would suite the Cantina quite well:

    The ideas are cool, I am just curious if that's all we're going to get here is rough concepts? The intent was for people to post their actual original artwork.

    You don't work on something without brainstorming and without a concept phase. You don't build a house without consulting an architect. But the architect doesn't build the house all by himself.

    I think people shouldn't present their finished work without ever getting feedback beforehand. Furthermore the banner should be a collaboration. You said it yourself, the Cantina represents the people. So, people (plural) shoud work together.

    I love the current banner, and I know there's no way I'd ever be able to create anything close to being as good as it, so I'll abstain.

    Another great (but veryyy pricey!?) idea would be to have Eli Hyder design a new one- one with the characters @NinjaRen mentioned in his post.

    Furthermore I think you missed the point of this idea. IMO many people should contribute to this banner. => Cantina members say what or who they want to get featured on the banner. Other skilled members can then realise this collaboration or show off their own ideas.

    We assume hiring a designer would be pricey, so designing one ourselves would be easier to realise. Also we're still in the process of brainstorming, that means we should consider all posibilities and later rule out the ones, that are out of range.

    We were only concerned that the current banner has no characters from R1, SOLO, TROS or The Mandalorian.....I agree the current banner is cool

    Huh....well we could do this:

    Let's get about, say...10 submissions from various members here to look over, with a.....January 31 deadline, and after that we'll look them over and in some manner decide what fits based on members reactions.

    Any Mods or staff want to add or tweak those requirements???
