    I'm a huge Peter Mayhew fan, but I've been wondering, since he seems to be having more trouble walking, was he able to play Chewbacca full time, or was a double needed for scenes that may have required him to move quicker? Does anyone have any info on this?

    For the record, Chewbacca is considered shorter by Wookie race standards.

    Mathew had both knees replaced too so he's not in top shape. He's a older guy. I think we can give him and R2's Kenny Baker a break. (artoo)
    It's widely reported Han yells "Run Chewie!" So it can be assumed that was Mathew's stunt double or maybe CGI.
