I take this as a good thing, he goes on to say, from what people have told him, it's not a rehash of Empire Strikes Back and that Rian has done a completely different film compared to previous Star Wars films and that is why it's not going to sit well with some fans, and it may end up as the most divisive film in the franchise. But one thing to note and I think it's important is that almost everyone who has seen it has really enjoyed it. It appears as if TLJ is most likely going to be a great film.

Now we just need that sweet, sweet trailer!

I had high hopes for VIII when the new trilogy was originally announced, but it easily surpassed every other film in terms of pure cinematic anticipation for myself just because Rian Johnson came on board.

I'm absolutely all for this, though if the film is critically acclaimed - not just in special effects, but in telling a rich story with exceptionally strong characters, etc. - in the way that these hear-say responses suggest that it could be, I hope it gets the attention it deserves when awards season comes around.

Of course, not the first thing on my mind with this film, but I absolutely want to see it up there if it changes the dialogue on film like The Empire Strikes Back has.

Well I was confident. Now I am less so.

When my wife and I watched Star Trek Into Darkness I remember thinking that the story never let up. It was a descent film but I worried that the pacing of JJ's SW film would not feel like SW. I ended up liking TFA very much.

Now I have not seen anything with TLJ that worries me much but hearing that it is very different and that it will bother some fans . . . that makes me worry. There are many great films with lots of cool ideas but not all of those ideas feel like SW. And there some things I would not want to happen in SW.

    This makes me VERY nervous.

It can't be much different or Lucasfilm would have fired him long ago. But something is different. That doesn't give much to go on.

I don't think that is fair to say. For all we know, the scuttlebutt on Lord and Miller about their ethic and attitude could be true and Trevorrow could have simply shown to have been inept for the process.

The rumors were saying Trevorrow had an attitude problem and he acted high and mighty and Kathy wasn't having any of that.
