    I think it was neat how it went from 2-D to 3-D once Garrett Hudland entered the Grid.... back to Pirates....

    yeah they need to avoid obviously "meant for 3-D viewing" things. This isn't Shark-Boy and Lava-GIrl!

    That makes perfect sense, and I couldn't agree more. IMHO, the race toward more and more clarity and detail is getting us to the point where I don't think a lot of movies look as good as they used to. Do we really need to see the lines on an actor's face where their makeup prosthetics end and their skin begins?

    Plus, there's just an aesthetic difference between the way images move onscreen in a film, and the way they move onscreen in a video. Video looks more lifelike, but I still think old-school film looks better.
