So I have been reading a lot around the forum and a common discussion I am finding is about the differences between the types of Planets in the Original Trilogy, the Prequels, and those we would like to see in TFA and beyond. So this got me thinking, if there was any planet from the EU, or any type of planet with a particular environment or biome, which you could put in the Sequel Trilogy what would you pick and why?

From a visual standpoint, I myself would reallybe interested in seeing a formerly urban planet, similar to Taris, that has undergone significant destruction in one of the films.
Something like, a post-apocalyptic world where all of its cities have fallen into significant decay and nature is slowly reclaiming the planet. *animated picture down below*

From a story standpoint, I think Ilum or Dantooine would interesting options for Episode VIII or IX because of the significant role both planets played in the Jedi trials and the gathering of lightsaber crystals. Especially since the story revolves around a future with *crossing fingers* the founding of a new jedi order, or at least new Jedi in some capacity, it seems possible that either planets could play a role in the story. Of course there also is the fact that Dantooine played a role in the initial rebellion against the Empire and housed an ancient jedi academy. Not to mention, as far as Ilum is concerned, seeing it translated onto a live action screen with its crystal caves could be be stunning. *animated picture below*

Nar Shaddaa, just because of the visual appeal.

Nar Shaddaa would definitely be an interesting option from a visual standpoint. Similar to Coruscant but with much more of a dirty crime world edge. The portrayals of Coruscant in the Prequels seemed to give the planet a clean and sleek look while Nar Shaddaa would seem to be more of an extreme with exuberant criminal wealth and great poverty. It would definitely be interesting to see that brought to life on the big screen in some capacity.
