    Life is full of small moments that seem insignificant at the time but can eventually be pointed to as critical moments in the grand scheme of things. Which makes it fun to imagine the hypothetical...

    "If I hadn't done X, then Y wouldn't have happened."
    "I wouldn't trade my college friends for anything. What if I had chosen a different school?"
    "If only I had back that money that I sent that TV preacher..."

    Let's take the "if" game to the Galaxy Far Far Away.

    Pose a "What if...?" question for someone else to answer or make up your own hypothetical scenario.

    For example, here's an easy one:

    Great idea!

    What if the Imperial gunners didn't "hold your fire" and blasted the droids escape pod?

    Also, what if Qui-Gon Jinn didn't talk Boss Nass into letting Jar Jar Binks accompany the Jedi on their trip to the Naboo? Jar Jar would have never made it to Naboo, and would have never proposed to the Senate delegating emergency powers to Palpatine.

    I almost used that as my opening example! :)

    Oh, this is a good one. Not only the "emergency powers" one but even the Battle for Naboo. Does that happen without Jar Jar's comment to Amidala about "Gungans having a grand army and not going down without a fight"? I'd imagine if Jar Jar doesn't go with the jedi to Naboo, the Gungans involvement in the story ends there, and the Battle of Naboo becomes much more difficult.

    1) What if Kylo accepted Han's offer to come home?
    => Snoke would lose his most powerful asset, the Ressitance would have a lot of knowledge of the FO and Han Solo would be alive.

    2) What if Rey accepted Kylo's offer to join him?
    => We would have an interesting set up for EPIX. People would finally stop calling Rey a Mary Sue. Luke Skywalker would be alive.

    What if Finn and Rose don't go to Canto Bight?
    or
    What if they make contact with the Master Codebreaker and get away before being thrown in jail?

    They don't meet DJ, who doesn't betray them, and the entire Resistance escapes to Crait undetected. Holdo never pulls the hyperspace ram maneuver, the Supremacy isn't destroyed, and the FO fleet is still entirely intact.

    Snoke is still dead, but what happens between Rey and Kylo Ren after the Throne Room battle?

    Maybe the FO still discovers the Resistance is hiding out on Crait, and that battle still sets up in the same manner we know it. But if Rey isn't afforded an escape by the Holdo Maneuver, she also doesn't save the day on Crait with Chewie in the Falcon.

    What if BB-8 was destroyed by a creature in the Jakku desert?

    No one, not even the Ressistance would've been able to find Skywalker. Rey and Finn may have met, but probably wouldn't have teamed up or left Jakku together, much less join the Resistance.

    The Resistance, without Han or the Falcon (the former still smuggling, the latter still on Jakku) would probably not be able to stop Starkiller Base from destroying D'Qar.

    Kylo Ren will not have fully committed to the darkness by killing his father, but will be enraged that Luke's location is forever lost.

    what if Chewie had forgotton to season that juicy succulent roasted Porg?
    would he eat Porg again?

    what if Kylo Ren had short hair?
    would we think less of him? would he still look fabulous?

    what if Kylo hadn't been topless during his force connection chat with Rey?
    i know this one.. Rey doesn't get a lady boner (sorry lol - forgive my crassness) and doesn't go after Ben.. who then DOESN'T kill Snoke.
    she then stays on Achh-to for too long trying to change Luke's mind and the resistance are all killed on Crait. Rey comes up with a wonderful Porg recipe where the Porg is marinated in Green Milk for 24hrs before cooking.

    This last part got me the most. Does this actually benefit Kylo Ren? He is forced to let go, and move on. Less hate to fuel the dark side fires.
    Or, does he double down and become even more obsessed with finding Luke, devoting obsene amounts of FO resources to this "selfish" mission?

    That is one of the things that bug me about ROTS. I think Mace would have easily defeated the Emperor if Anakin didn't show up and Palpatine didn't play the fake old man act.

    I am one of the fans that say that Windu is still alive. He did not die after being electrocuted out the window. He could have used the Force to help him brace his fall. I think there is a high possibility Mace is in hiding like Obi Wan, we just never know. I sure do hope we get a standalone movie for Mace one of these days, that would be epic
