    The universe is shrinking, and Star Wars DESPERATELY needs to do something new and push away from old characters now. Plus, Boba Fett played such an unnecessarily big role in episode II.. because Lucas caved into doing fan service. Boba Fett was 50% of that movie. I say the same thing that I did for the Han Solo and Obi Wan spinoffs.... Make them into video games! You can have a huge amount of plot/subplots in video games, which isn't possible in movies..

    You know if it's a film entirely about Boba and "Awesome" he is they better go all out. No tension, no drama, no drive, no lore bulding of other characters to bounce off and admire. Just give us Boba being so ridiculously awesome that he could kill pretty much anyone. I mean even if it's pointless or bad I could at least laugh about how absurd it all is.

    Boba's hand reaches out of the sand, pulls himself out.. and looks triumphantly into the twin suns rising over Tatooine's horizon.

    He adjusts his armor, reaches for his blaster.. before a thermal detonator lands at his feet. Cut to black.

    Kristian Harloff thinks that Dave Filoni will be directing a Boba Fett spin-off.
    I reaaaaaally don't think we need this movie, but it would be very interesting to see what Filoni could do with it.

    Considering Boba Fett leads a bounty hunter team in The Clone Wars, I see no reason why a standalone film can't centre on them completing a mission.

    I guess i'm the only one who would love to see a Bounty Hunter film with Boba Fett, Aurra Sing, IG-88, some others. I don't get the issue here. I also don't understand when people say "He's too minor a character to get a spinoff film!"

    Umm..... Rogue One was comprised of characters never seen before... And why wouldn't you want to flesh out Boba Fett more? I don't get it @_@

    How about a mandalorian/bounty hunter who isnt boba fett??? And isnt a clone???

    Dave knows action but the translation from animation to live action hasnt had the best results so far...maybe he needs to wet his feet in something a bit smaller first.

    I can't remember where exactly but I did read that Boba was supposed to have a larger role in George's overall story. originally he was meant to play the main villain in the 3rd movie and the empire and Vader weren't supposed to fall till the following trilogy (7,8,9). This all fell apart when Harrison didn't want to reprise his role in SW and that's why he was eventually frozen in carbonite in ESB... they weren't sure he would come back at all.

    Boba was definitely meant to be more than he ended up being, and I think Lucas killed him off the way he did almost out of frustration for everything that went down.. (speculation)

    Honestly I never really got the whole Boba Fett worship thing. He was never really that interesting of a character to me. So he had a cool helmet and a gravely badass voice. He never really did anything all that cool or important.

    While I agree a stand-alone movie about him is unnecessary, he did escape the sarlacc pit in the old EU. I agree video games would probably be best at this point, or a television show post-ROTJ after Rebels or something which includes Fett. Personally, I would rather see more stories on the screen post-ROTJ and the new Trilogy rather than prequel stories to ANH or filler stories in between any of the trilogy. This includes Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon, or anyone else...well maybe a story on Quinlan Vos, I'd accept that.
