What non-Star Wars podcasts do you love and recommend?

Aside from some of the standard favorites (This American Life, Welcome to Night Vale) here are a few I've really been digging:

Diane - a Twin Peaks podcast. This podcast defines deep dive. They get into literary theory and philosophy. The latest episode on the concept of "cool" is fascinating even if you're not a Twin Peaks fan (but you should be).

The Cine-Files with John Rocha and Steve Morris. They walk through great films and talk about the filmmaking process and the story. It's a blast and the episodes are nice and long, which I love.

Business Wars. The presentation is a bit old school but it's a fascinating listen. Each season goes through the history of a business rivalry (like Marvel vs DC or Coke vs Pepsi).

    What's in your queue?

Only podcast I listen to his Dan Carlin's Hardcore History. He puts them out pretty infrequently which is fine with me. I do not have time to listen to a daily or even weekly podcast.

I usually listen on my way to work, or while doing chores around the house. I don't have a long commute but it's surprising how much podcast you can get through.

I'll have to check that out! I adore Rocha, so I'm game for pretty much anything he does.

Is there any part of Hardcore History that's free like on the iTunes store or something? I've wanted to listen to it for a while now...

    My staples are

Writing Excuses - A writing podcast hosted by authors Brandon Sanderson, Dan Wells, Howard Taylor, and Mary Robinette Kowal. They usually trade out one of the members for a guest once or twice per season, but the main crew is amazing. I've learned a lot from it and recommend it for any aspiring writers.

Shardcast - A Brandon Sanderson hardcore fan podcast. They break down EVERYTHING Sanderson and it's super fun.

The Resistance Podcast - 'nuff said! ;)

Rule Of Three - is a podcasat where comedians talk about works of comedy that delight and inspire them.

Smershpod - is a fun podcast devoted to James Bond movies and more. Also features comedians as guests. Highly recommended.

RHLSTP (Richard Herring's Leicester Square Podcast) is a essentially a chat show recorded in front of a live audience. English stand-up Richard Herring talks to great guests from the world of comedy and beyond,. Features hilarious "emergency" questions for when the chat starts to wear slightly thin, and sometimes just for the hell of it.

Adam Buxton - Actor and comedian Adam Buxton has lots of pleasant and interesting ramble-chats with guests from various walks of life, the arts etc. Also features Adam's homemade tunes and hilarious jingles.
