    I really dug that Poe had a Black X-wing by the end of TFA. which one do you prefer? Do you think Poe will be flying the black X-wing in Episode VIII, I know its too early to tell.

    Anyone else notice Poe had one of new black "R0" series astromech droids in the back of the black X-wing before being reunited with BB-8 ? ;)

    I think the Black X-Wing will be his signature ship, much like the Falcon for Han.

    All of the toys revolving around Poe, all of the media around him, all feature the Black X-Wing. I think it's his calling card.

    Definately saw R2-KT, R2-Q2, R4-M9, an R5, an R6 (first appearance!) and the new R0. And BB-8 of course. Didn't see any R3's though. ;)

    went for his black x wing the reason is explained in ether the visual directory or cross section books in that the resistance has two squads of x wing in total (yes these guys are a really small scale operation) red for base support & blue for recon work & poe leads both groups so has a black x wing & his call sign is black one

    I think they may have given him a black one because it made good contrast with the snow. Left me thinking that it's a bit odd that nothing's really camoflaged in Star Wars. You'd think black normally would be a good color in space as it would be concealing.

    I'm all for different color X-wings, but I don't care for Poe's for two reasons; it's just too Halloween color combo and out of all the colors it could have been, black is a bit boring for Poe's flashy personality.
    I honestly think they did it just so his X-wing was easily distinguished in the movie.

    The black one stands out for me especially since he's the only one that has. Imagine if Kylo flew around in a dark red tie fighter.
