    When I usually check this site I prefer browsing on my laptop over my smartphone. I think having an app for the cantina and news stories with a format suited for smartphones would make browsing much easier. Does anybody feel the same way? Has any staff here at the Cantina ever considered creating an app solely for the cantina? A bit off topic but I didn't know where else to post this. Thank you.

    Im sure it's been thought of. I really don't have too much trouble with the website on my phone though. Not against it though. It would be used.

    an app is a great idea, I moved your thread to the forum feedback section. We have talked about it in the past, and an app my be coming but probably not anytime soon. sorry guys. I want it just as bad as you do.

    Honestly the mobile site works perfectly fine anyways. That's how I view this website 99% of the time. But an app would be cool too

    I would love an app,but I must say i'v only ever used my smartphone to access this site,so not really sure what the difference would be.
    It takes me along time to read through threads and just generally search through pages and navigate,but would an app be much different? Ultimately I would like 3 screens with several pages open at the same time,matrix style.that would be cool.and time saving.lol

    I'll field this... as a programmer, I could do an app... do you have any freaking clue what an effort that is? You are talking about, roughly, $10k minimum...

    As an alternative, you could try

    As a sidenote... for all the effort that IS put into this site, the vast majority of which is volunteer by a hearty crew of mentally deficient admins through labors of love, there is a "donate" button down at the bottom of the page which would help Viral defray the hard costs associated...
