And... Why can't this image be concept for a flash-back sequence with Darth Revan? It looks WAY too much like Darth Revan for it not to be him... with that hilt, it reminds me a bit of the LOTR nazgul set in the SW universe.

Here's more on that idea... What if Darth Revan is the villain and this image is for a flash-back sequence. Maybe, the other image with with the burned up Darth Vader helmet is Darth Revan holding it. Remember what Supreme Chancellor Palpatine said, "Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith so powerful and so wise, he could use the Force to influence the midi-chlorians to create life. He had such a knowledge of the dark side, he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying." Keep that in mind... One would have to be pretty powerful to avoid dying, right?

Or... SWTOR cosplay possibly?

 

Go back and watch RotS and observe how Anakin cuts Count Dooku's hands off. Were Dooku to have had this lightsaber, he may have kept his hands.

 

How can Darth Revan be in a flashback sequence with Vader's helmet? He was dead long before any actual canon history. And what does Darth Plagueis have to do with Darth Revan?

What if that image shows Darth Revan during a flash-back of him in his prime. Then, the other image with the Darth Vader helmet is him in the current timeline. It's not hard to comprehend.

 

But 1, he isn't a canon character anymore and 2, if he was he would be long dead.

 

Even if the two short blades were meant to block another blade it would still cut that part off before being effective, and goodbye hands.

 

They look like crystals to me, for decorative purposes only.

 

Okay so here is my 2 cents: we obviously can see that this character has extreme similarities to Darth Revan. This leak could very well be a character leak from the rumored open world Star Wars video game that has been worked on by EA, Bioware, and visceral. I don't buy this ancient fear stuff and I feel as if jj wouldn't throw a character into the mix that just "blam" looks like revan. Compared to his other character photo leaks I don't see any similarities to the episode 7 costume styles. In a nutshell I think this is just another misleading photo thrown out there to mess with us.

If you can believe that... then you can believe in a possible flash-back of Revan.

 

That's a better possibility but I still doubt there will be a flash-back to Revan. Most movie goers don't know who Revan is so it will more than likely confuse people.

 

The grave robber would have Vader's helmet, maybe Driver the sith artifact collector would have Revan's.

I believe this new order of force users are all going to have concealed identities, so they will all have different helmets or masks.

 

They did that with Lord Saron in LOTR. People got that flash-back though.

But Star Wars has never done flash-backs and I doubt they ever will except in spin-off material.
Plus, in LotR, it wasn't flash-backs they were prologues before the main story began.

 

LOTR had too since it is the end of the story, Sauron's story goes way back to when he was the servant of Melkor. I wish they would make a movie for the Silmarillion.

 

Maybe that's Peter Jackson's next plan.

JJ's Star Trek did flash-backs though, right? Did Star Trek ever use flash-backs before his version?

 

In the series they did flash-backs and flash-forwards, not sure about the movies though, it's been a while since I've watched those.
