EVENT Post picture of your Force Friday findings!

Here's my Midnight Wal-Mart haul-

 

I had a blast at the Force Friday midnight release at Toys R Us. By my count, I was the 97th person in line when I arrived 40 minutes before the store opened. The people I met were really nice and fun to talk to. By the time I got into the store, all of the black series figures were sold out.

I grabbed the second to last 3/34 figure of Kylo Ren and helped someone find the very last Ren figure hiding behind a row of Darth Vader figures. I scored some pretty good finds. Here are some pictures of the exclusive Kylo Ren poster, First Order Trooper Lego piece, and the black series Titanium Resistance X-Wing I purchased.

Haven't seen many people grabbing the Elite Series from the Disney Store, these are all I grabbed, they have a pretty awesome line of vehicles too. As detailed as the Black Series titanium but bigger.

 

plenty of stuff in my local store.. but i'm no collector so i just picked up a Stormtrooper.. was tempted on the whole force awakens black series set but ££££££££

 

I gave my TFA-intended $ to UNICEF today.
Movie before merch, plz.

 

Not really a find but I saw this on my FB newsfeed. $3,999 for this at the Pottery Barn? Talk about steep.

 

I got my hands on the 3.75 Hasbro set a few months ago, and I put it on display in the shape of Kylo Ren's Cross-Hilt Lightsaber:


I also managed to get Luke & Chewie figures early, not exactly "The Force Awakens" figures, but they're a part of the initial wave.


I escaped the ghetto Wal-Mart on Tuesday afternoon with a Force Awakens poster. Come to find out, the reason they had all the new merch on display EARLY is because the store is in such a bad neighborhood, they now CLOSE at midnight, and did not participate in Force Friday, until their opening the next morning.


And on Force Friday Midnight release, I went to the best Wal-Mart in town. Here's what I purchased, below. I tried to escape the ghetto Wal-Mart with these shirts on Tuesday, but they wouldn't let me buy them. I ended up buying them at Midnight at the good Wal-Mart!

I've pretty much gotten everything I want for this wave of merch. I don't have much display room, so I don't think I'll be making any other purchases (aside from hats/tshirts) until they drop the "LEGACY" characters - Luke, Han, Leia. That's what I'm looking forward to.

 

We obtained what we needed, about seven spots away from the door. It was a LOT of fun but I could see where some folks walked away disappointed. (Although a return trip to Target yielded some surprising action figures are still hanging around this week.)


(Sorry, old news, I just joined the forum so I'm a little late to the discussion but wanted to share.) My husband wrote up an amusing blog post about our Force Friday adventure with some photos of nerdage, Star Wars humor, and merchandise.)

There was a part where the employees were handing out giveaways which distracted some of the shoppers. Next time remember....ITS A TRAP!
