Post-Solo SW Film Ranking

Before I give my ranking, I just wanna acknowledge that I think The Empire Strikes Back is the best Star Wars film, but this list is based on my favorites:

I’ll have to see Solo again, though, I was very back-and-forth as to whether or not Solo or Revenge of the Sith ranked higher. I really enjoyed it, but it’s far from my favorite Star Wars film. It’s easily the weakest of the Disney Star Wars films, but still really enjoyable.

Solo - Fun film, not great, not bad. Didn't feel like I was watching Han.

A lot of daylight - Two broken films.

The Force Awakens
The Last Jedi

More Daylight to the pile of prequels. I actually found these more forgiving than TLJ for some reason.

Attack of the Clones

The first three movies will always stand alone as they are from my childhood and didn't need the other films.

Solo is just a damn fun show; right up there with TFA - nearly.

Really enjoyed SOLO will see it again. After all the backlash with TLJ which was disheartening, SOLO was refreshing. Great little film, I like it more than Rogue One, even though R1 was epic yet sad at the same time. SOLO made me smile and laugh; fan service galore, name drops like Aurra Sing, Tatooine ( ANH is my favorite Star Wars film. Alec Guinness' OB1, love the Jawas, Haslab please make me my Ultimate sandcrawler plzz, Luke's Black Series Land speeder sits on my desk, Han, Tarkin, Greedo, Wuher and the Cantina denizens... the list goes on and on.

TESB is my favorite sequel of all time! Anywho, I'm hoping SOLO does well at the box office looking forward to an OB1 film with McGregor. I just hope KK/LFL is not teasing us with the Boba Fett film announcement with James Mangold. Mangold's Logan is one of my favorite non - MCU Marvel film. I just hope nothing goes wrong BTS.

For me, no other SW films can top the OT films.

It's very hard for me to rank most of the films. For me, the bulk of them stand in the "really like them" category, and Solo is no exception.

There are only two great Star Wars films--ANH and ESB. And then there are two bad ones--TPM and AOTC. Everything else is sort of middle ground. (TFA is creeping up to the "great" area but I think it'll depend on a few more years of digestion and what full payoff Ep9 gives us).

 

Agreed, there are only two great SW films: ANH and ESB.

YEah, I'd much rather see Obi wan in any form over any of the new characters, and if CW and Rebels counted they would be in the top 5 for me.

I haven't included the animated Clone Wars film, partially as I couldn't decide where to put it, partially because it never really felt like a film, more like an extended pilot to a tv show(still enjoyed it though).
