I Count my Star Wars Movies like this:

    1. A New Hope
    2. Empire Strikes Back + Revenge of the Jedi (they are both parts of One Single Movie - Perhaps the best but ANH has it all)
    3. Rogue One
    4. Revenge of the Sith + Attack of the Clones + The Phantom Menace (Actually only ROTS is a GOOD Movie but all of them have great ideas)
    5. Solo

What was nice about doing this list was it reminded me juts how much Love the star wars film, I know thats a silly thing to say on a Stwar Wars fourm, but It's been easy to forget that since the Last Jedi came out. So what if i didn't like 1 film, I loved the other 9, even if some of them have significant flaws i still have great fun with them and it was really hard to order them.

Bottom line is so what if i didn't like the Last Jedi, disliking 1 film out of 10, an't bad going at all!

Okay, it's been a few days and my initial hype is over. I think it'll look like this:

    Return of the Jedi
    The Force Awakens
    The Last Jedi
    The Empire Strikes Back
    Solo
    A New Hope
    Rogue One
    Revenge of the Sith
    The Phantom Menace
    Attack of the Clones

    The Force Awakens
    Revenge of The Sith
    Attack of The Clones

I've decided to rank the movies based on the feelings I had after seeing them. "Objective" rating based on "quality" of the movies would be completely different. Anyway, here goes:

    1. Rogue One (As if the movie was made personally for me!)
    2. The Phantom Manace (Tons of nostalgia! Most of it is from video games, but I don't care).
*. Ewoks. Battle for Endor (Loved it as kid, still love it. Teek hurting his hand still gets to me after 25 years).
    3. A New Hope (Every second - a new experience for a 6 yo kid).
    4. Return of the Jedi (Luke is a badass! Also, that Space Battle!)
    5. Empire Strikes Back (So dark and sad, still awesome environmens)
    6. Attack of the Clones (Battle of Geonosis blew me away)
    7. The Force Awakens (Thoroughly fun ride, sad for Han Solo, Daisy Ridley is beautiful)
    8. Solo (It made me happy, but not enough to break through the stress I am currently under)
*. Ewoks. Caravan of Courage (Wasn't too impressed since I knew that the family was going to die anyway)
    9. The Last Jedi (Confused and deep in thought, definitely not what I expected)
    10. Revenge of the Sith (I remember loving it, but not the actual feelings I had)
*. The Clone wars movie (I enjoyed watching it, but didn't like how it felt afterwards)

Have been to see it twice now. I've also watched every other film on blu ray at home in the last month (on my own, dark room, no distractions, really paying attention as I hadn't seen them all in years)

I'll include a little review, it's obviously easier to talk about the films I like less, what's the point in going into detail about how great ESB is for example? So...

1.Empire Strikes Back -Will never change, favourite film ever.
2.A New Hope -Most fun film of all time, still love it after 100+ views, when Luke turns of the navi computer I get misty eyed every.damn.time
    --
3.Return Of The Jedi-Act 1 and 3 as good as anything else in the saga. Let down by a slow middle, weaker dialogue than the other two and DS2 sucks

4.Revenge Of The Sith-Hot mess, but when it's good, it's really, REALLY good.

5.Solo- My favorite of the new ones, entertaining and fun from minute one to the end. Unique, interesting, super fun to watch set of characters. Will age really well imo.
    --
6.TFA-If you switch your brain off, sit back and let it take you for a ride it's great. But new protagonists are underwhelming, not developed enough and their interactions with each other fall mostly flat (Han carries them) and we all know the problems with the story. Everything else is wonderful but those two things are pretty important and let it down badly

7.The Last Jedi- Another hot mess like ROTS but less hot and more messy. Not helped that TFA didn't introduce compelling enough new characters but there are a lot of cool moments. Visually it's breathtaking but very sloppily made. Action doesn't flow well, characters make stupid decisions to move the plot along, the main Star wars theme is overused and instead of focusing on making it the best it could be it feels like the director was trying to show off a lot. Show how slick he is behind the camera and tried to subvert expectations and confuse the audience for the purpose of just that, almost as if it's meant to be one of the films hooks, but it doesn't work. A little too 2010's Earth-like at times as well. Fine but disappointing, massive, gaping missed opportunity.

8.Rogue One-A lot to love but again I found myself disappointed by how cold a lot of the protagonists left me. Who wants to see more of Jyn/Cassian interacting? Who wants to find out about Bodhi's backstory? Did anyone find themselves empathising with or being entertained in any way at any moment by Cassian/Jyn? Not me. Villains rule though, as does Raddus. Well made and entertaining otherwise though

9.AOTC-Beautiful to look at, one of the best soundtracks, it's original and tells a unique story to the other films but as we all know some of the character interactions are excruciatingly bad, it has the weakest lightsaber finale, The dooku on screen in that movie is Marvel level weak etc But obviously the main problem for me like with many others is I just don't like Haydens portrayal of Anakin one bit in this film.

10.TPM- Save for the opening 15 and last 30 minutes I find it unwatchable now. I didn't need to see Anakin as a kid. I don't hate Jar Jar but don't like him either, I don't like the battle droids, the feather light tone, bad humour etc. Worst of the bunch but I'd still give it a 5/10 :p

    Here we go:

    1. ROTJ - Wonderful space-opera adventure movie with three great battles going on at the end. Not overly complex in a good way. Enjoyable every time I see it.
    2. ESB - This movie catapulted Star Wars into another realm. ANH was a great movie for its adventure and simplicity. A poorly executed ESB could have killed the whole saga. Instead it was a masterpiece movie that built on the mysterious new world created in ANH.
    3. ANH - A wonderful introduction to a new universe but with real world familiarity. A Sci-Fi adventure but based on a tangible real world environments and classic plot devices: an ordinary farm boy hero from a dirty-poor upbringing, an oppressive government, rickety droids and beat up starships and speeders, an old mentor sage, a saloon full of crusty patrons, and an imposing bad guy. This is how good sci-fi should be made -- futuristic things but still based in reality and digestible without introducing anything too ridiculous or convoluted.

    4. TFA - This reboot was a gymnastics routine with very high degree of difficulty. JJ landed it even though it wasn't a perfect 10. A number of things could have gone wrong here and killed the whole Disney adventure into Star Wars, so I have to give ample praise to JJ. The best thing about JJ's past projects have been his characters and he delivered on the creation of cool new characters in TFA. Rey, Ben/Kylo, Finn all were interesting, and Snoke is intriguing. Hux was a bit one dimensional in TFA but the character is growing on me as he is setting up to be a nice weasely nemesis for Ben/Kylo in EPIX. Maz could have been a cool mysterious mage but instead we got a cartoon character--oh well but still much better than Jar Jar.
    5. TLJ - I think this movie will get better as it ages and once we get EPIX in the can. There is so much going on in this movie. Edit down the whole Canto Bight excursion into a dangerous search for Del Toro's seedy codebreaker in the dark underbelly of the fancy casino and the movie would flow much better. On first blush, the movie is about moving on from the past but after more viewings it really isn't about rejecting the past as much as it is about cherishing and learning from it. I think we're going to get some exposition in EPIX that will make some of the strange stuff in TLJ seem more understandable (for example, a little more to the story on why Luke exiled himself and was so grumpy).
    6. Rogue One - The visuals, comedy, oppression, and spirit of the rebellion were all masterfully executed in this movie. Characters were a bit ordinary and forgettable but I'm not sure if that is a true flaw or not. Chirrut and K2, however, were a delight. I was initially pretty stoked when I heard rumors that Disney was going to let all the good guys get killed off in this movie, but after a few viewings, I really wish Chirrut or at least one character would have lived to tell their tale (or survive for another movie or cameo). Best aspect of this movie is that it really compliments ANH nicely--watch ANH right after Rogue One someday, it really amps up the drama in ANH.

    7. SOLO - This is a really fun origin movie with a lot going on but not in a complex way. Enjoyable adventure is how I describe it. Not epic like other Star Wars movies but really fun. Chewy stole the show and the writing/banter was entertaining. Lots of neat nuggets for fans. The movie feels a bit like ROTJ and TFA pacing-wise, in a good way.
    8. ROTS - The best of the PT this movie is an excellent story. Ewan's Kenobi and Palatine's rise are the highlights of the movie. Hayden's best performance even if still leaving something more to be desired. Very cool to see the transformation to Vader even if it was rushed. I personally wish Anakin had been cast as a character that was more of an imposing ball of rage, a ticking time bomb that all the Jedi feared (even before he turned) but Hayden did a good job becoming pretty nasty by the end of the movie.

    9. TPM - The music, Maul, Palpatine, and the final battle make this movie watchable. Otherwise I find myself fast forwarding through a ton of it.
    10. AOTC - I find myself wincing too often while watching this movie. Entire scenes made of bad CGI that hasn't held up and tedious excursions. Jango was cool for a bit. The movie seems like a bad cartoon episode of Star Wars. Try explaining the storyline of this movie to someone that has never seen it--the person will quickly stare off into the distance desperately wanting to run away from you.

I feel like this isn't necessarily a list of which movie was better made, but more so which movie I enjoy more and would rather watch.

1.Return of The Jedi (It's a toss up between this and Empire Strikes Back for me)

    2.The Empire Strikes Back

    3. The Force Awakens (Watched it about 7 times in theaters)

    4. The Phantom Menace (Came out when I was about 12 and I was hooked, also Darth Maul, Obi-wan, Qui Gon...underrated film)

    5. Revenge of The Sith (Too much CGI but lots of emotion)

    6. Solo (Good movie but doesn't feel like it adds much to the series. just fun)

    7. Rogue One (Forgettable first half, great second half)

    8. A New Hope (classic but a bit boring)

    9. The Last Jedi (Huge disappointment, only enjoyable scene was Reylo fight)

    10. Attack of The Clones (Garbage, hard to watch)
