    With the release of The Last Jedi looming over us like an incoming Star Destroyer, we here at The Cantina thought it would be fun to celebrate by getting together for another viewing of The Force Awakens.

    Please join us on Sunday, December 10th for a Cantina-wide viewing party of TFA. We will be starting at:
    ~11:00 am PST (GMT -8)
    ~2:00 pm EST (GMT -5)
    ~7:00 pm GMT
    ~8:00 pm CET (GMT +1)

    We may even get wild and throw in some Cantina-based prizes!
    Mr. Alamact will explain the Big Bombad™ Prizes below, folks.

    **Please note that we will not be providing an online stream of TFA. It is up to each of you individually to watch your own copy at home. We'll just all be watching at the same time.

    Also, feel free to join in on the fun even if you can't watch the movie along with us. And if you can't stay for the whole thing, no sweat! Hang out with us as much or as little as you are able, but please keep in mind that in order to be eligible for any "prizes" you must at some point take part in the discussion**

    No your good Time Zones are complicated at best & then add in our BST then it's very easy to make a right hash of thing which I have done on numerous occasions :p

    How do we sync the viewing ?
    We may not have the same copy of the movie, nor the same media : for example, some may have a DVD, others may have a Blue Ray, others possess a simple VHS cassette.... how does we manage we all start the movie at the same time?

    Do we agree on a precise picture in the beginning (for example, the LucasFilms logo), everyone seeks for that depending on its own system, then press "pause" once located, and everyone then start waiting for a pre-count on the chat : 3... 2.. 1... and everybody then press "play" at the same time when the 0 drops ?
    Thus, we could make sure ~everybody is watching the ~same scene at a given time [​IMG] (note the ~ that adds a little bit of uncertainty to the "same" :) )

    We could so avoid uncomfortable situations, where some may be watching Finn and Rey fighting on Jakku, while others may already know they will escape in the Falcon and may spoil that to the formers :) :) :)
