EVENT Predict the Last Jedi's scores (i.e RT, IMDb, etc)

I hate RT, but I'll say 95% critics and a 92% audience

IMDB 8.0

 

RT 95% (IMDB doesn't matter and is too unpredictable due to audience input)

 

Rotten Tomatoes score would be a 96% critics score with a 94% audience score

 

Imdb: 8

RT: 85%

 

RT: 93%, audience score will be somewhere in the low to mid 80's (I expect it to be a bit polarizing)

IMDB: 8.4

CinemaScore: A (like that really matters though)

 

RT: 95%

RT Audience score of 80%, simply because it's become fashionable within the Internet psyche that Disney has ruined star wars. I think there will be a lot of trolls trying to Blast with the audience score.

IMDB: don't care. I can go give TLJ a 1 or a 10 now, i don't see the movie for 5 days. Useless site.

I'd say 8.4 on IMDB
RT: 94%

Main praises:

- Great Great character arcs (Poe, Finn, Kylo & Rey)
- Great comedic moments
- A great Star Wars Episode, maybe even better than The Force Awakens

Flaws:

- Some strong similarities with Empire Strikes Back
- Some scenes too intense for young audience

 

I’m going to say 95% RT, with an audience score of 86%. I think critics will love the ways in which the movie is “different” and a lot of casual fans/non-diehards that see the movie may love those things as well, but the new elements will divide the diehard fanbase.

 

TLJ will be way more divisive than TFA was, quote me on that.

edit: And I wouldn't be suprised if people will seriously hate on the movie big time after a few weeks.

Hey at least we're not the Jedi Council messege boards. I had to quit going there because it honestly seems like they hate more about Star Wars now than they like.

 

Hahah as long as this movie is at least slightly better than TFA I’ll be happy. I don’t see how it wouldn’t be though, there’s much more time to focus on plot and action as opposed to character building, like TFA had to do.

 

Why do you say that like character building is a discredit to the quality of the film, if by your own admission it's something necessary for TFA? Just curious what you thought was wrong with TFA that TLJ needs to do better?

 

I didn’t mean that in a negative way at all. Character building is just as important as plot and action. I absolutely loved TFA and can’t think of anything wrong with it. But for the trilogy, we’re moving into the part of the story where conflict comes to the center and that just excites me
