    If Luke is onscreen with Leia & Han for at least one scene, and plays an active role in the story:

    1) ANH
    2) ESB
    3) ROTJ
    4)TFA
    5)ROTS
    6) TPM
    7) AOTC

    If Luke appears just at the end or in a flashback and just T the end, and if JJ failed to restrain himself from including tons of lens flares, then TFA will go to number 7

    Knowing myself I'll be realistic. At best TFA can score a # 3 or 4 (depending upon to what extent TFA circumvents Jabba's Muppets Show and Ewoks).

    For the record, this is leaving out the nostalgic and groundbreaking aspects of ANH and is purely based on what I enjoy watching and thinking about the most. Otherwise ANH would be 1st. TPM and ROTS also change places a lot depending on my mood. ESB is the one constant for me that can never be moved because it was such a great sequel to an amazing movie that was also a game changer no one could have predicted, and just an overall great film in general.
    This will all undoubtedly change after TFA has been out a while, but right now TFA is where it is at mainly because of the possibilities it holds for speculation about the future of the saga and because it is EPISODE SEVEN!!!

    ROTJ was the one I watched the most as a kid. I remember catching glimpses of the Jabba Palace scenes on TV and felt like I shouldn't be watching it because it was so dark. The rancor pit is still one of my favorite Star Wars scenes. But I love it now mostly for the powerful end of the Luke and Vader story and the masterful portrayal of the Emperor. Even as a kid I loved that Vader was just an old man under that mask. I understood the power of that reveal.

    The trailers alone are better than TPM and AOTC, so at this point it's all about how much higher it can rise. All I'll say on that front is that I have fairly high expectations :)
