    Hello All,

Hope everyone is having a good morning, afternoon, etc…

Been doing some thinking here and based off what I/we know about JJ, Kasdan, the plot, the OT, etc, I have some ideas I wanted to lay out here in terms of where they may be going with the Sequel Trilogy.

The original trilogy was a Father/Son story. When you boil the whole thing down, it's really that, set against the struggle of good and evil. JJ and Kasdan are probably going to want to tie this trilogy into the last thematically and emotionally without repeating themselves, and what hasn't been done yet, that could satisfy this criteria?

--- Parent's battling to save their children or siblings against one another. ----

Obviously they do have to "hand" this series over to a new generation, but with Star Wars being so family-centric, the new young people on board, would have to be related to the big three in some meaningful way, otherwise, where is the "hand off" and emotional investment? The question is, WHICH ones are related?

Having said that, here is what I think we are looking at-

This trilogy is about a wayward son, (Driver) and the greater threat of his master, who in true Sith fashion, is manipulating his passions and instability for the master's greater design. This villain I believe is the culmination of the story of the light against the dark, that began with a New Hope. The master represents the dark side itself, drawing Luke out of hiding into a final confrontation to defeat the Sith and the darkness once and for all.

Further, as hinted at above, I think Adam Driver is Han and Leia's son. I think he is force sensitive like his Mother and Uncle, and has developed an obsession with understanding the force, which Leia and Han have most likely discouraged, as Luke's path and Vader's led to a great deal of suffering on all sides. So imagine, the son of an aristocratic family (Leia as a Mon Mothma figure), angry because he believes he is being denied knowledge and understanding in a family that does not really speak of the elephant in the room, the FORCE in their veins.

Leia is not exactly going to be lifting objects with her mind around the house, but with training she could enhance her native abilities, so it's there for sure, but again, not utilized and even ignored, for the sake of protecting the family in the turmoil that has engulfed the galaxy and the trail of debris left by the Jedi and Sith in the family line. No one needs to know that Leia Solo can use the force, as that would put her family in danger from those that would want to exploit it or wipe out all remaining threats to the dark side. So, they have this son, who can sense and even use the force, but they won't TRAIN him, and his ego bruised, his curiosity raging, his belief that his God-given power is being denied and repressed, he sets out on his own for the QUICK path to knowledge, the DARK SIDE, the black market of the force, to find what he seeks as no Jedi really exist that are known anymore, and further, Leia would forbid the training if they did.

This would make for great drama - - Imagine if as a child in the Solo family, you have power, you know you have power and you are different, and you are told to never talk about it, never to try to use it, for your parent's fear you will become like your Grandfather. Basically, we have a family of former Jedi's and force users who have become terrified of their powers and the implications of them, and choose to repress them.

This is what I believe leads Adam down the path to the dark side, and the MASTER, learning of his family line, believes he can use his apprentice to draw out the last of the Jedi, the apprentice's Uncle, Luke Skywalker, to destroy him.

So, in secret he (Driver) studies the Sith religiously, and collects their artifacts, gaining power and the understanding of the force that has been kept from him, and so on and so forth. He then meets the above mentioned master, and off we go!

I think Driver has an entire double life and it will be revealed that he is the tri-blade user in film 2, and it will be the" I am your father moment", to mirror film 2 of the OT, ESB's revelation. At this point, we will have seen him do some terrible things under his helmet, and we will also have seen him playing the good son in "public" with mom and dad, so again, this will be a huge shock, as I believe he will be beyond redemption at this point, though Han and Leia will try to save him, with Luke in the middle trying to stop him, setting up epic tragedy amongst family and friends.

For the rest of the cast, I think Daisy is not related to anyone, and I think Gleeson is Luke's son, who has been in hiding, along with Luke (in different places, but for the same reasons).

As far as the Phantom? I think this may be Serkis's character. They will use a Physical body/Stuntie for action scenes, digital/Mocap performance for close ups. I think Serkis is Driver's master, and has been heavily damaged from war. It wouldn't make sense for Luke to be the phantom, as that would mean his face would essentially be destroyed, and I can't see that happening. I also think Serkis sounds too ominous to be the turtle character, as well as the fact that the tri-blade Sith seems to have the Darth Revaan style helm, and the leader of the burn crews has the Darth Bane type helm. I think Bane is the master, and Revaan (not literally both characters, just the names as place holders here) is the apprentice.

A heavily CG augmented or entirely (facially) digital phantom character would work very well from Serkis, and this frees up Luke to be well, Luke.

    Thoughts?

It's a brother vs sister story on two fronts. Evil Leia vs Good Luke and Evil Driver vs Good Daisy.

    Awesome duality and reflection there.

Thanks! Regardless of how close I may or may not be, I firmly believe JJ will do great things with this upcoming film!

I for one hope these rumors about Driver or whoever being a treasure hunter are wrong. It all sounds too Indiana Jones-y to me. And it's a cheap way to officially introduce Legends artifacts to satisfy us super nerds. Clearly JJ & KK are all about fan service, as the trailer proves. But they don't have the hardcore fans in mind so much as the casual fans who watch the movies only. I really don't see them referencing Revan or Bane when 95% of viewers will be like "Darth Who?!"

Now I can see Driver becoming obsessed with his grandfather (Vader). Maybe he comes to resent his overbearing, hypocritical parents (as all children eventually do) and gets brainwashed by some nostalgic group led by Serkis that longs for the good ol' days of Vader and Palpatine. And so he goes in search of Vader relics. This is a simpler, more emotional storyline.

Plus, as Yogurt of Spaceballs would say, this would be really great for "MOICHADIZING, MOICHADIZING, MOICHADIZING!!!"
