Quinlan Vos is a jedi who we see a little but of in the CW animated show. We see him in a few episodes, mostly in the episode, “The Hunt for Ziro” we see him fight Cad Bane with Obi wan kenobi by his side. So he is in CW. Im not sure if yall knew this, but Quinlan Vos is actually in TPM, where he makes his first appearance. In the picture below, he appears to be sitting talking to another person. He was likely on a mission on Tatooine.

i do have a question. Why did Qui-gon nor Obi wan recognize him when they walked by? They may not have noticed him, but it isn’t hard to recognize a fellow jedi, considering that there aren’t that many jedi. They could have gotten help, but im glad they didn’t because they were able to meet Anakin as a result.

He was originally just a background character and wasn't intended to be a Jedi at all. That changed when somebody (can't remember who) spotted the dude in the background and decided to turn the extra into a major character. Kinobi & Jinn didn't spot him 'cause he was not someone worthy of spotting at the time of TPM being made.

We should make a game where we pick a random character in TPM and make them a major character.

Yeah I noticed aura sing too. They must have been mere background characters before being expanded in the CW

The same happened when they said that aged man in the rebels team on Endor (EP 6) could have been Captain Rex, clone commander.

Yeah I have seen this rex thing, but im not sure about it. Maybe inspiration was drawn from it, yet i still believe that they made captain rex so that they can expand and better introduce the clones, ya know. Anyway, you are very wise my friend

IIRC, Feloni wanted to retcon RotJ by having Nic Sant (the graybeard rebel) changed to be actually an aged Rex having come full circle from Republic "stormtrooper" fighting the sepatarist insurgents to now being a guerria fighter batteling the Galactic Empire with the Rebel. In the end, however, Feloni decided against canonifying this as he felt it was a somewhat self-indulgent retcon that didn't really add much to Star Wars.

    I think for two reasons:

1.) He was considered a background character with a great look, which evolved over time into a well-established character.

2.) He was undercover, and so was Qui-Gon Jinn. No one was supposed to know that they were Jedi Knights/Masters. Jedi have high codes and moral standards. As a result, they would not have acknowledged each other for the sake of their missions.

For some reason I always wanted it to be Rex. I thought it was a cool coincidence that that soldier looked like Rex. And I was like, "Yeah, why not? Seems sensible enough." Oh well.

The idea that three Jedi would all "just so happen" be on Tatooine at the same time is just a little suspicious and incredibly fortuitous.
I am all for making up backstories for random background characters, but when you make one a Jedi in a place where Jedi are rare, it's even stranger when two more Jedi happen to be on the same backwater planet.
(also note how many times I used the word Jedi in that sentence? It's a little much.)

If they wanted to take his look and make that a cultural thing and create Quinlan Vos as a member of it, I'd say go for it. But when you it the very same person in this case, it's little much. At least as far as him being a Jedi is confirmed.
It's always odd when they make characters a little too related...

You forget, sir, that Tatooine is the navel of the Star Wars galaxy! Every character of any worth and value MUST gravitate towards Tatooine at least once! 'Tis the law, sir, the LAW!

Yeah you make a good point. It is a little suspicious indeed that three jedi are on an outer rim planet. Also, I like to keep in mind that there aren’t that many Jedi in the galaxy. Or at least ones who are practicing missions and such.

Yeah that is a good point in terms of like fame of one planet. But, the prequels films and shows do revolve mostly around Anakin. Considering Anakin grew up on Tatooine, the planet gets a lot of coverage and attention. But yeah that is a funny point.

    Quinlan Vos GOAT.jpg
Yes the character was in fact, based upon an extra from The Phantom Menace and later retconned to Vos working undercover. I still think Darth Maul would have sensed something, or at least the probe droids would have, but I digress. I used to interact with the creators of Quinlan Vos on a weekly basis during the production of The Republic comic, Jan Duursema & John Ostrander. (Edit: cannot forget smoking stogie memes w/ Randy Stradley) Tholme's old apprentice is my favorite Jedi of all time. He is the original Jedi with a gun. Unfortunately, we fell out when I said that Cade was basically a blonde, Skywalker version of the same character. Also, there was this one time....

I like Quinlan Voss in CW. If my memory serves me well, then I believe he is rather cocky. That is never a good trait in a jedi.
