SPECULATION R2D2 blackmailing!

    OKAY...... long time lurker, forst time poster.

    R2 has the whole Star Wars Saga in his memory.

    He's a dangerous droid.

    He knows too much just to become trivial in the ST.

    Could R2 be used to blackmail Leia at some point?

    Could we see a scene where The Empire/else uses the little droid as " We will release all that droid has in stock if you don't comply to this and that..."

    Rival Senator 1: Madame Senator Organa . . . or should I say madame SOLO, known pirate, smuggler, associate of the gangster Jabba the Hutt and trafficer of the street drug known as SPICE. Tell me Senator . . . what would you say to the kids throughout the galaxy . . . should they say no drugs.

    Rival Senator 2: Princess Leia . . . here you sit vamping of your adopted families position. Yet through your veins courses the blood of know war criminal and dark sorcerer DARTH VADER. I wonder did your long absent brother teach you the techniques of mind control.

    Rival Senator 3: Is it true you had an incestuous relationship with your own BROTHER such antics might befit the courts of the brutal planet Westeros ;) but the new Republic should shun such perverse tendencies.

    As I was reading through WillyBobo's thread, it just came all clear to me:
    R2D2 falls into the hand of Leia's rivals.
    They hack R2 to access his files/memory and all Leia secrets.

    We see recollection from Leia's past (including her childhood, teenage years....the reason why BIllie Lourd is onboard)
    And they go back to the recording from Leia's birth (R2 was on Polis Massa when the babies were born)

    They find out about Leia's real parents and her ties to Luke Skywalker.

    Leia's rivals use that to make her step down.

    They use R2 to blackmail Leia.

    R2D2 is Snoke! But seriously, we don't know R2D2's origins. Snoke may be a "bigger picture" kind of reveal, what if Snoke, or Plagueis (wishful thinking) developed R2 to look over the Skywalker clan (Anakin, Leia, then Luke) until a certain plan developed or unfolded. After all, Anakin MAY be a creation of Darth Plagueis. I know the Plagueis book is not considered cannon, but it was the last EU book published, and the first canon book Tarkin had the same author. Also, it was said some of the EU books MAY retroactively be added to canon. R2D2 has always beenshrouded in mystery, and has always seemed to have his own agenda.
