I have absolutely no idea if this thread will have legs... (the post below will, but the rest is up to you), but here's a spot for random facts about the movies that some may or may not know.

So what on Earth was the prompt for this post I hear no-one ask? Well, let me tell the none of you reading this... I'm a fan of alt-pop-electronica band Goldfrapp and when this popped on their Twitface accounts and stunned into a WTF that's Captain Phasma!?!? moment.

    BOOOO! :p

Now for random fact - The Last Jedi is th first Star Wars film to shoot in South America and, more specifically, Bolivia - Salar de Uyuni, the largest salt flat in the world, served as a background for some of the shots of planet Crait.

More crazy stuff; Bossk is wearing the space suit of Doctor Who from one of the older British Sci-Fi shows.

Not as crazy, as the fact, that IG-88's head is actually a thing from the Mos Eisley Cantina (I don't go to bars, so I don't know what it's called).

Yes. Also another random fact - by the time of Episode VIII's release, a SW film was shot on every permamently inhbited continent. This excludes Antarctica as the only people living on it are scientists who are there for limited amount of time.

Talking about droids and bounty hunters…

The scene from ESB with Chewie retrieving the parts of C-3PO from the trash at the Ugnaughts place, there are several gimmicks:

Both a version of IG-88 (in beige) and 4-LOM can be sitting as scrap in that room:

    Bounty-Hunter-Droids.png

There are also rumors that you can see a reflection of the production crew on Threepios head when he’s traveling down the conveyor belt (I could never see this). Also, I think I’ve heard at one time that there was also a Terminator T1000 like skeleton ton be seen in this room, but I wasn’t able to spot it by myself all the years, and I don’t know the exact source of this.

I'd spotted the IG-series droid before, but not the other bounty hunter head - good eyes @Star Dude! (I know you said 4-LOM, but it looks more like the very, very similar Zuckuss head)

Of course you are absolutely tight on this. I didn’t paid much attention this morning when spotting this fella on that image when looking just for IG-88 beige. I thought of worn-out droids putted into a recycling shop, saw those insectoid eyes and was hip shootin’ the first name that crosses my mind. And is this a restraining bold on the right chess side?!

Which makes it even more strange. Those Ugnauths recycle organic Gand and/or cremate them there, WTF?

Also, you can spot the arms of a WED Treadwell droid between the two Ugnaughts at the conveyer belt.

I'm sure that with the right photos and the right eyes, sets like this, the Jawa crawler, Lars Homestead, Cantina, Trash Compactor, Hoth Base, Carbon Freeze etc must be riddled with re-used items. It's a hell of a mission to track them :)

Ok, stretching the boundaries of the thread title even more, I learned today that Vanessa Marshall (best known in our circles for voicing Rebels hero Hera Syndulla) was also the voice for Jan Ors in the Jedi Knight II - Jedi Outcast game and pilot Wona Goban in Rogue One. Of course all of you real fans already knew this... but it was news to me :D

Here’s my favorite film blunder from the OT / #nowiwillruinyourchildhood

Luke doing the cha cha cha frozen at the Wampa’s ceiling. A trick only Jedi can pull off:

Some say, in the ANH opening scene, when the camera focuses on the Tantive IV being attacked by the ISD, one can see the Ghost, a.k.a the main vessel of the Star Wars Rebels group, hooked to the Tantive IV side :

    upload_2018-9-18_12-15-50.png

    I never spotted that!
I currently cannot watch the movie to confirm.

Would that mean that the Ghost crew has been caught by Vader's troops ?

Looks all clear to me. Most probably an urban legend.

So I will spare you the other ones @Lazarus Dei - to keep the illusion intact. ;)

youtube provides a lot of excerpts that prove you're right, and my theory was wrong.

I found the picture in this video :

called "Aviez-vous remarqué?", that means "Did you notice?". The video gives some funny facts about A New Hope. The picture I posted above can precisely be seen at 0:36 on this video.

Two persons, in the youtube comments, have noticed The Ghost (look for "ghost" in the comments). One called Louis Carbonneau says in the second comment that the image should have been taken from the Star Wars Rebels serie, season 1 episode 2, when the Phoenix Squadron (or at least the Ghost crew) encounters R2D2 and C3PO.

Remember how people made a big fuss over the disappearing blade in the Throne Room fight in TLJ? I saw the film on Saturday and completely forgot about it. This is going to be the same. :D

I used to think that about THAT Trooper and the door in ANH... but I always see it now, so matter how hard I try.

I have a vague memory that there's a shot in ANH where 3POs casing is missing/loose and you can see Anthony Daniel's trousers too - but that too could be urban legend along with the cornflakes box in the trash compactor.

Probably more well known that I realise, but while people spotted the ETs in the Senate in the PT...
...this is allegedly an easter egg appearance of Indiana Jones at Mos Espa, which I didn't know?!?!
