Jabba’s puppet was so big that up to seven crew members were needed to operate it on set.

Funny thing I realized only yesterday while watching ANH for about the bazillionth time, some of the Stormtroopers boarding the Tantive IV grabbed a real lemon when picking their helmets in the armory.

Their model was missing the typical blue colored grill structure for the ‘Dymak Exhaust Filters’.

Even later on, this none-exhaust-filter version could be spotted.

    trooper_helmet_03.jpg

I never was aware of this glitch until yesterday, but of course, I can cite the Wookipedia page on this, as I was the only blind guy so far:

“In Episode IV, the mouth grill size on stormtrooper helmets is inconsistent. When a few stormtroopers go with an imprisoned Leia Organa, the one on the right has a long grill, while the one on the left has a short one. This is because two different designs were used for the helmets in the film. The first and most numerous was the stunt helmet, which had a larger frown, while the Hero helmet had a smaller frown among other differences.”

And what I also learned from that article:

“The canister on the rear belt was originally going to be a lightsaber/laser sword due to early drafts of the artwork and film script having swordplay be fairly common, and laser swords carried by nearly every character.”

I also remember reading or hearing the behind the scenes of Rogue One that the Stormtrooper costumes were actually more comfortable and easier to breathe than the OT version of the costume.

    Ewoks speak Tibetan.
The Ewok language is a combination of Tibetan and Nepalese.

Nope just assumed translator sites. But it's interesting that those countries were chosen.

There were once an episode of the ‘Star Wars Show’ quite some time ago, and Andy had an interview partner who was able to speak Zulu. So he told her how funny it was the first time he watched AnH and how much fun it was to ease his friends with it. Can’t remember who that guy was, nor the episode number. He even talked about some of the meaning of what was spoken.

Talking SW languages, Huttese is based/borrows from on the Incan language of Quechua (the sounding of words but not their meaning).

Another fun fact I just stumbled upon: The filming location of Alderaan for RotS in Switzerland is called

    “Grindelwald”

… and as part of the Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch, is part of the UNESCO world heritage.

OK , quite sure we have all heard this one, but how about the troopers yelling "For Jeddah!" as they disembarked from the U-Wing at Scarif in R1? Great "war movie" touch.....

Here's an oldie but a goodie. In Luke's X-wing cockpit in ESB, there is an old audio cassette player turned on its side. ..... Yeah , I guess on long flights Luke can pop in his "ABBA" cassette.....

My guess is that this was Trevor Noah? I remember him talking about something similar in some British comedy talkshow once (QI perhaps?)

They used a lot of cheap odds and ends in the OT...I remember Harrison Ford in an interview talking of how some of the switches on the Falcon were from an old car, and how they sometimes moved on their own!
