Here is a random fact that I guess I am pretty late on. Many may know this, but I didn't until last night.

Bill Hader was the voice for BB8 in "The Force Awakens" or rather the sounds.

Hey @Lazarus Dei, that Indy at Mos Espa was really new to me.

But they have so many easter eggs in the prequels, like the X-Wing chased by 3(?) TIE's during the speeder chase on Coruscant in AotC.

Known by many, but not all (maybe):

Actor Jeremy Bulloch got another role besides Boba Fett during Empire: Because the originally planned actor was suddenly not available he did a stand-in.

    JeremyM_01.png

Later, during RotS, he also played Jeremoch Colton, the Alderaanian Captain of the Corellian Corvette “Sundered Heart”.

It was a mistake of mine. It appeared later that the picture in my post was in fact not taken from ANH, but from REBELS.

Aoh, yes, sure, it would have been!
When I saw that picure occurring inside a sequence that was talkin' about the whole (and only) ANH, I literally had a goose bump.
The youtube video I was watching (I gave the link to it) was about to list the small errors in the movies (lack of connections, incongruities, nonsenses) and this particular video was about ANH. So when I saw this picture, I logically thought it was taken from ANH. :(

I'm sure it's well known to many, but Kenner originally got the Zuckuss/4-LOM character names mixed up on the action figures.

I remember as a kid thinking 4-LOM seemed more like a droid name. Never occurred to me at the time that I was right and the toys were wrong!

Anthony Daniels plays another character besides C3PO, named Lieutenant Dannl Faytonni, who appears in AOTC and ROTS.

The rainbow that appears during Anakin and Padme's wedding scene is not a special effect.

AOTC is the only film (to date) that pans up after the opening crawl instead of down.

So, in honour of TPM's 20th anniversary - here's a new one on me... during filming on the first of the prequel flicks Ray Park had a day off and happened to mention he didn't know what to do with his day. The production manager said they were shooting a Naboo guard scene and he could costume up as one of them if he wanted, so he did!

Great thread, I have been doing sort of the same thing on my profile posts but focused on ANH.....

Speaking of ANH....for the Yavin hangar scene before the attack. Lucas really wanted an X-Wing to lift up and "taxi".....his team said no way, the ceiling was too low to get a crane inside.

So they cut a hole in the roof of H-Stage, where the Yavin scene was being filmed, put a crane OUTSIDE, ran the cable through the hole and lifted the whole X-Wing!

That the Daily Mail is a 'newspaper' is debatable!

That the Daily Mail publishes 'facts' is debatable!

I think the point @Lazarus Dei was making is that the Daily Mail is a highly sensationalist 'rag' and has a reputation for being unreliable and inaccurate . Their website probably even more so! 'Facts' may or may not matter to them all that much.

For instance - Wikipedia have 'banned' the Daily Mail as a reliable source to use as a reference.

"The Daily Mail has been widely criticised for its unreliability...

"In February 2017, the English Wikipedia banned the Daily Mail as an 'unreliable source'... Support for the ban centred on the Daily Mail's reputation for poor fact checking, sensationalism, and flat-out fabrication".

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daily_Mail

Personally I avoid the Daily Mail like the plague - I've seen them use clickbait headlines warning you that there are spoilers, while simultaneously revealing the spoiler in the same headline. So for instance, if this were 1980, they'd go with "SPOILER: Darth Vader reveals he is Luke's father" - and that would be in just the link to their article.

@Too Bob Bit - yeah, to be fair my attempt a dry humour didn’t translate well in word form...

    Anyway, back on topic...

I’ve only just learned that JJ’s crew fitted a miniature Nolan-era Batmobile as a greeblie on the full scale Falcon prop!

I think I was getting my tabloids mixed up with that bit - it's the Daily Express where I've seen spoiler headlines.

So is Star Wars part of the DC Universe now or DC part of Star Wars. When will Disney announce they're going to buy Warner?
